For those of you with 6" BDS FOX 2.0 CO lifts or other 6" DB lifts

I just put a deposit down with ALCAN Springs to get in the build lineup, I have the 6" BDS w/Fox CO - what should I be asking for in new leaf spring height to get a level stance? these lifts are normally stock springs with 4" block, so do I ask for 4" lift or 6" lift or? figured I would ask all of you in hope that someone has gone before me with Alcan and a 6 inch DB lift and knows the answer.

I have provided ALCAN all the pictures and measurements, and will be traveling to their shop in Grand Junction, CO in April to have them do the install, that way they can adjust as needed if anything isn't correct. they are planning for 5" lift W/ 1000lb over stock based on my weigh scale ticket. just trying to get the height correct

Thank you in advance for any assistance with this - just wanting to get it right from the beginning

My stock rake measured @ 2 1/4" when I bought my 2015 DCLB before I started messing with lifts. I think 4" ALCAN would put you level, 6" ALCAN will probably have a lot of rake and a quite a bit more drastic driveshaft angle. I am still running the 4" blocks rear with stock leaves but it measures a true 4" over my stock measurement and my truck is virtually level even with my front being closer to 7" of lift. That said, I guess it also depends how much weight you have over the the bed with your setup. 6" lift front 4" rear basically puts you about level on a factor truck with around 1/2" rake. Worst case with a 4" leaf pack you can always run a 1" block if you needed to which should not affect anything whatsoever, but I would bet a 4" leaf pack will achieve your desired result.

Thanks Johnny Demon T for the input. I am 820lbs over stock weight constant right now.

ThT was with 1/4 of gas, full that would be 100lbs + I have 5 gal water and gas cans so when they are full during a trip that’s 80lbs extra. So right at the magic number

Lew (owner of Alcan) said he will build for a constant 1000lbs and with his spring pack height will build for 5” lift. With them installing at the shop they will then have capability to readjust /rearch if need be

Absolutely will- waiting on my archive garage rear hanger setup with crossmember/bar. I also have the archive garage ubolt flip stage 5 , and should have my new fox 2.0 w/DSC from accutune in. Going to take it all with me and Lew and team will install all at the same time to dial in the rear suspension.

when I get back I will take it to my other local shop and install the new fox 2.0 CO with 700lb Eibach coils (going up from 650lb) that just got revalued and tuned by accutune and dial in the front height to match the new rear setup for a level/slight rake

In regards to this topic I also have another question. If going from the 4” blocks to say an alcan 5-6” lift custom pack does the fox shock that comes with the 6” db lift then need to be changed as well? I too would like to eventually get custom leaf packs from alcan as well and would like to keep my original shock from lift if possible. Only have about 5k on the lift

The best person to speak to in regards to this is John Arriola from Accutune (johna@accutuneoffroad.com) he spec'd out my new shocks for my current weight scenario for my BDS 6" lift currently w/Deaver leaf packs and moving soon to Alcan custom leaf packs built for the new weight.

    As promised -

Just completed a 1200 mile round trip Sunday - Monday (yesterday) from New Mexico to Grand Junction Colorado to have AlCAN Springs complete the install of the custom 5" 1000lb over custom leaf spring packs I had built. They also installed the Archive Garage Hammer Hangers, HC Crossbar, and ubolt stage 4 flip kit I purchased from Eric (Archive Garage).

Lew Weldon (Owner) and Tyler (Technical/Mechanical Wizard) including the whole team were nothing but ultra professional and spot on as far as quality of build, delivery of service & hospitality. The shop is ultra clean and professional, the onsite team is a precision well oiled machine, outstanding communication from start to finish. Couldn't be happier with the final result, the rear of the truck is now extremely stable, no sway, completely planted (saying a lot for a dcsb that's 920lbs over stock weight in the rear (static). Driving back through the Colorado twisty' s (Monarch pass, Gunnison, Salida, etc.) the trucks behavior was more like my former z06 corvette or 370's i have owned, very "Planted".

So looking forward to getting my FOX 2.5 w/DSC Accutune valved and tuned rear shocks and front FOX 2.5 w/DSC 700lb Eibach coil overs installed next month. The rear now sits 43" from ground to wheel well center opening, the front is 42" (will adjust the preload on the new coil overs to bring the front level (43") at install)

Cannot recommend enough Archive Garage and ALCAN Springs.

Spent the day at 806 desert customs Off-road in Lubbock Texas. Outstanding team, installed and dialed in my Accutune built, valved, and custom tuned Fox 2.5 Coilovers w/DSC and eibach 700lb coils.

this completes my suspension overhaul - the truck has never handled better.

I cannot recommend enough Accutune, Alcan Springs, Archive Garage, ES suspension products to name a few.

Thank you to all on here that provided guidance, moral and immoral support.

pro comp six inch lift, 35 in tires, pro comp skid plate, custom subwoofer box, led interior,
selling these used fox 2.5 for 4”-6” lift. I posted it in the marketplace but I know with our lifts it’s a little more niche. Hope this is okay to post here
