Hey guys. I just regeared my 2019 tacoma. When I picked up the tryck I was told it might need to be recalibrated. Right now the VSC light is on and the pre collision light is flashing and it shows “pre collision system malfunction” and also “vehicle stability control malfunction”. Has anyone had this issue before? Not finding anything in the threads. Only found threads to do a zero point calibration which I tried and that didn’t work. Any help would be appreciated before I take it to the dealer. Thanks

Already cleaned tss sensor, checked connections, checked abs connections, rechecked around the work done to see if it could be a loose or broken wire.

Tried that a few times already when trying to do the zero point calibration.

I’ve experienced this, but not during gears. I got an alignment and lights went away. Perhaps something for tweaked when they removed/installed the axles/CVs?

for context, i went off-roading, got stuck on some rocks, went to 4hi with the wheels turned and got a loud pop, alignment was out of wack and lights came on after. Got the alignment and all was good after.

Sounds like they screwed up pulling axles when they did regear. Wheel sensor, or something else.

I agree that something likely got messed up while they were doing your gears. The rear axles have to slide out 3.5-4" to remove the rear third member. Maybe they left the ABS sensor plugged in and just yanked on the axle until it broke?

I just did 5.29 gears myself in my '21, and it has zero issues upon reassembly. This is the same for everyone else I know who has done gears.

You have to get underneath your truck and look around. I'd check the abs sensors first and foremost. If they don't appear broken, unplug them and blow them out with a small can of compressed air. Check the front sensors for dirt on the sensor as well.

Update: I put an obd2 reader on it and it shows deceleration sensor. I just deleted the code and it went away. Wouldn’t think anything’s wrong with it since it still decelerates fine. Took it out for a 15 mile drive and still hasn’t popped up. Thanks guys.
