    Oh Jeebus.... that brings back a memory. Back in college, my [now] wife and I had an apartment together. we had a sack of potatos in a kitchen drawer. That we forgot about. For a rather long time. One day we started smelling this most stomach churning smell in the kitchen. Started looking everywhere. Opened the drawer........ We did not previously know that potatoes liquify when they have reached a certain advanced stage of rot. It was all we could do not to loose our cookies while we cleaned that drawer. That is a very unique smell. You will never forget it.

    Oh, there was when I bought it. But not in a good way. Different color shag in each room (Gumby green, blue and in one room - multi color) that had been there since the 60's. Just nasty dirty. When I pulled them up to expose the original hardwood floors, I couldn't see them. The dust/dirt was that thick.

    That’s not correct, in fact we had scratch and sniff centerfolds in Hustler magazines way back in the 1970s. You are probably too young to remember that huh? More recently perfume and aftershave ads were scented. When I look at the living room photo above I swear I can smell cigarettes
