They are out of their god damn mind. Even with an engine swap it still isn’t worth that much.

For $40k, it should be well sorted out - and that includes replacing that rusty battery clamp with one that actually fits the battery and doesn’t let it move around like shown in the photos. o_O

Still no. That’s saying the truck itself is worth over $22k, which is a hard no.

It is an original Mystic Purple Mica(938) with date of first use May 17, 1998 according to the Toyota VIN lookup.

I saw them a few months ago. I guess the overland thing didn’t pan out for them after getting the GFC a few months before I saw them.
Being an Arizona truck, I bet the clear coat had fully peeled, so I would bet that it was re-clear coated OR even repainted top coat before the AZ seller sold it for way too much.

Hah, what I meant was: $40k asking minus the $7-8k for the GFC implies that the truck itself is worth over $30k, which it obviously is not.

I overlooked the VIN in the listing.

You are correct that Toyota's VIN lookup shows Mystic Purple.

    upload_2023-1-22_10-23-19.jpg

Curiously, ToyoDiy.com lists the VIN as a 2002 in 1C8--Lunar Mist Metallic. That's obviously not right, and I'd put more stock in Toyota's info regardless, but it is odd... I've never known toyodiy to give bad info before.

So I've bought everything needed to tile the floor in my master bath but I'd be curious to know how much the going rate is for tiling 25sqft.
Anyone know anyone or could recommend someone?

@Red Baron might be able to help.

I also suggest adding in electric heated floors, best improvement I did to my under heated Master Bath back in day.

I'm about to redo our downstairs bathroom, never thought of electric heated floors.. Might have to look into that

I preheat the floor with the toaster before taking a bath with it. Very economical option

It really shouldn't add too much to the total depending on the bathroom size. If you are already using a Schluter system the heating system is another $500 (for a 60sqft bathroom). So maybe another $1000 if you are paying someone to do the entire thing.

Just researched their stuff, my little bathroom would be less than $500 bucks to add. And only $230 using LuxHeat. Only thing then is I'd need to level the floor, I have a middle floor drain so not sure if I can keep that or not?

I'm not a tile guy, so my opinion doesn't mean too much. With that said, I would go with the Schluter system over LuxHeat. I'm not familiar with LuxHeat but the ditraheat system from schluter is the gold standard for heated floors. Plus the schluter uncoupling membrane is fantastic and would be easily cut around the middle floor drain.

From what I saw the floor needs to be level and mine seems to slope inward to the floor drain. The previous owners did a terrible tile job anyway and I imagine they didn't level the rest of the floor prior to installing the tile. There also used to be a washer and dryer in the bathroom, tucked under basically the stair landing. So the washer drain is still there too which would be up against the wall however there's a random pvc pipe that runs from somewhere inside the house through the garage (exposed) and outside into the ground. I'm willing to be that was their cheap washer drain solution and doesn't actually connect to the bathroom floor drain. Man I hate people who have no idea what they're doing

Question for the Western Slope guys, specifically Grand Junction area.

I'm potentially accepting a job offer and the office is based in GJ, so I'm looking at renting a small single family, but really I just need to have a garage space if it's an apartment. I'm not familiar with town, are there any spots I should absolutely avoid? I'm looking more on the south side of town for easier access to the biking trails. Ideally I'd go to Fruita but renting there doesn't look very cost effective for the time being.

I would avoid Clifton and anything "downtown". Orchard Mesa has some good neighborhoods south of 50 but anything off unaweep used to be pretty rough. Fruitvale is also pretty mixed. Basically North of Patterson and west of 29 road is the best bet for low crime
