Might be a dumb question...

I've tried searching but cant find anything.

Do the cigarette lighter, and the 12v accessory plug-in right next to it put out the same amount of power? In other words, will one of them charge my phone any faster than the other? Or are they exactly the same except one has a cover on it? Haha.

The only difference may be that one turns off with the key and the other has power all of the time.

 

Nope they both turn off at least my 2005 does I added one in my center console.

 

Both the same ... I went one step further and replaced the lighter with another outlet ..... for looks .... see #20 and #21.
