yeah it's to the point I get irritated every time I see it because they are always promoting it like crazy on every site you can think of lol.

Dunno why its still on the lot after all this time, if I recall it's VIN comes back with 5 reported accidents despite the clean title so maybe that's why. Combined with the high price, they used to have it at $15k I think.

I know these are over-hyped and we can't even get 'em, but I think the 5 door would be a fun little thing

yeah the red one is super nice, been eyeing it for a bit. All the good shit is in San Diego for some reason lol. Got my truck there too.

But I'm gonna see if he comes down on the price a good amount. It's super clean but I ain't dropping over 16 grand on a 24 year old 200k SUV.

Yeah I think it looks good on the 4Runner. Needs silver wheels.

@eon_blue you could always do an H151 swap into an 80 series. It's a really spendy/time-consuming option though. An FJ60 would be cool too; I bet there's some nice rust-free examples out where you live.

that first one with the e-locker is nice too, but again 5-6 hours away. I'm looking at ones in Fresno too only cause @Kwikvette is there and I trust him to know what to look for if he checks them out for me

supposedly he has to sell before moving to NYC so we'll see. I'd kind of be surprised if it's still available though tbh, it's been up for at least a week and I'm finding most people don't bother taking down ads after something sells :annoyed:

got a line on one Nelson found in Fresno and I'm texting with the guy, hopefully we can work something out. Light gray/silver '96 with 255k, guy is looking for $8k obo. Looks really clean

FJ60s look the part, and I'll always like em, but you have to do some serious thinking before committing to one as a daily / trip mobile. Certainly have their drawbacks.
Though that can be said about pretty much all vintage 4x4s.

Yea they're fun for drives in the country on backroads and the like but they'd be pretty scary on modern freeways I'd imagine.

They look so awesome, I saw that same thing at a hrocery atore parking lot up here in WA a few months ago.. apparently they get hush hush imported from mexico into the states. I think I'm gunna buy a "Mexico farm" version of one from TX when I get my next vehicle, @Running Board Man has seen em for sale down there
