I got my tune last Saturday from John in Mississppi. He let me try 2 different tunes, i went with normal. And after a week of driving i absolutely love how the truck wholes the gears longer and the consant power threw out. How easy it accelerates without a big downshift. I still gear gunt on the intersate but i think its has to with tire weight and the load it puts on the engine. Thanks again John.

Kanyon and Darren showed up to get their trucks tuned with KDMAX V9.0 this weekend in Salt Lake City. Both were impressed with the throttle response at the normal setting, which was perfect for these daily drivers. Thanks guys! Enjoy your new trucks!

Intrigued for my 3rd gen. Thing I dislike most:
Highway driving. Downshifting @ 3000RPM at 70mph. It's really annoying. Almost like the truck needs a little more HP so the transmission doesn't continue to downshift on the freeway. From what I am reading, the tune helps? Also, 16mpg due to the downshifting isn't great.
    Thanks

No. It will not mess with the tune. It just makes the speedometer show the correct speed for your tires.

Cool, thank you! I saw the talk of “shift points” and resetting the ECU in the product description and that made me wonder if it would mess with the tune. Appreciate the quick response.

Apologies as the thread is 373 pages long, but considering this for my 23 MT Pro. I know the AT have notoriously terrible gearing but for those that have done this on their MT do you all feel significant improvements in the power band?

And to confirm, assuming my truck is stock otherwise, my speedo would still remain accurate with the tune, yes? Read a thing about adaptive cruise still functioning off the base tune, but still functions as it would, correct?

    Thanks in advance!!

Correct, the tune will not change your speedometer. It will stay the same. Also, yes, the Adaptive Cruise still works.

The MT tune is very good and has great reviews. Consistent throttle and power.
    You won’t be disappointed!

Truck is a stock 2019 TRDOR DCSB with stock goodyears. I do not drive particularly fast/aggressive. I just wanted to see if the butt dyno was accurate lol. Ignore the 1/4 mile time.
Overall, throttle is a lot smoother especially at lower speeds.

For further clarification was this some kind of app used for test and comparison?

I had posted this on a thread about calibrating the speedometer. Does the hypertech or RC calibrators effect a tune, or vice versa? See quote from RCs website.

I installed the Rough Country calibrator about a month ago it does not affect the tune. It will correct your speedometer and odometer. Has not affected the tune. FYI you only need to change settings for tire size not gear size if you have a regear.

What are the benefits if I'm coming off the Pro+XT tune to the 9.0?

You will notice refined throttle settings. Shift points have been refined for better power. These are improvements to the Pro-XT tune. You will enjoy the changes.
