Brickmania has excellent WWI, WWII and other military sets. Real LEGOs. Real $$$$.

Think I'm done with Miniseries 24. Only one I didn't get was the Orc. Got two Falconers and four poop/chocolate spacemen and four robots along with the others. Only opened one spaceman and one robot.

anybody buy from bricklink lately? they have an "easy buy" button now that the site will search through all shops to locate everything on your wishlist from the fewest sellers. kinda cool. saved a tone of time, maybe or maybe not money but i didn't have to spend 4 hours scouring the site for what i wanted.

I've used it before. Convenience is nice, but it definitely does not care about cost. Could have saved a good chunk on that build by spending the time to sort my own parts orders. Not a bad option if it isn't a large build, though

I need to start tearing down the sets that I've rebuilt. Space is running low!

That looks like such a fun build

I think the paddleboat is pretty much finished. The renders are missing the railings and some other small parts that are difficult to place in Studio.

There isn't much of an interior on this one, because I needed space for other things

    2023-01-24 Paddle Steamboat 06.jpg

Now to figure out what parts I have and order the rest. I'm going to dismantle the island fort I built a couple years ago, so that should help a bit. Planning to have this ready for Brick Days in late April, so I needed to find a solid stopping point and move forward with the physical build, but may make revisions later. There are just a couple small details I'd like to add...

I start off my orders by searching USA stores only for the Easy Buy.

I then go through each cart to see outlier high prices or mandatory minimum quantities added without my permission.

If they’re outrageous, I dislike the store and rerun the Easy Buy again. (Disliking them removes them from consideration if you check that box setting up the Easy Buy).

Tedious but it’s saved me a few $$$ over the years.

The past couple of months I've been collecting up the Space sets, started with the small Shuttle, then build the Saturn V Rocket, and now I'm working on the International Space Station.
