Thanks for that! I’ll have to wait and see what’s available in 16s when I need tires. I only have 10k maybe on mine right now so a few to several years I hope.
Maybe I’ll get a little bigger too

 

No prob. Yeah it’s gonna be a tough decision when my Grabbers wear out if I want to go to a bigger all terrain. I probably won’t because the grabbers are awesome and I get basically the sticker advertised MPGs with them.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was thinking that the metal sleeve needed to be removed before it would fit on the 4runner mounting stud. I was using the info on Rockautos site to compare the extension/compression specs of the 2 different shocks. It seems like the 80 series shocks have about 2" more of travel in them. I can locate the new upper mount so that the longer shocks are at the mid stroke length, I might gain a tiny bit of travel out of the rear suspension. The KYB Monomax's back there are functional, I just don't think that the drivers side is going to come apart without destroying the threads, they are a complete ball of iron oxide fuzz.

 

that surprises me - I've never been more-happy with ATs than i was with those. Rigid/Heavy probably, but when push came to shove, they were never the reason I couldn't drive some place.

 

It must have just been some complainers that I read reviews from, I have a friend who likes them a lot as well. Honestly even if they had great reviews, I didn’t have the coin for the price of 4 because they’re so expensive.

If you ask an inspector, about 2hrs max from the time the truck is loaded and they’ll deny the load. Most of the contractors don’t care and won’t waste the money… I’ve sat on jobs for well past the 3hr mark and they still use it, not to mention drive time.

 

Awesome tire. I put a little over 70k miles on mine.

 

I had to run down into town this afternoon to pick up my concealed carry permit. Once I got down the mountain to the blacktop road I noticed the roads were treated. If i would've known i would've driven my winter beater. Soon as I got back to the cabin I power washed it top to bottom, I want this truck to last.

Went to check my k&n cabin air filter to see how it looks and if any leaves or other stuff was in there… popped the cover off and see a fran filter…. The dealer must have replaced it with the paper one last time I was in for service while the maintenance was covered….

Only have a k&n in there since it was on sale for 15$ whenever I needed one. I wouldn’t spend the full price for that thing.

 

At this time of the year you should just expect roads to be treated when snow is in your forecast tonight/tomorrow

 

I don't have the news up here and I didn't check the weather on my phone before I headed out. And as you know I'm a little over a 4 mile drive from the blacktop so I can't just look out my front door to check road conditions.

 

I just went outside to bring some firewood in and the sky is nothing but stars. But as we all know the weather can change in a instant. I'm hoping for some snow.
