I mean, I'm pretty sure the dealership would have let me bring the title down the next day lol. She just knew my personality and my preference for all brown colored pickup trucks

I hear you... BUT: it would have been gone (the truck) the next day... ;)

Dealers are not your friend: They're wicked awful.

I spent many years working as a sales rep for a dealership selling Toyota forklifts. Every time I buy a new vehicle and we get to the part where the salesman tries to feel me out for my income and aptitude, I simply say, "Yah, I used to sell forklifts worth 8x these trucks. Buying, leasing, used - yah, all that. I did it in house. By the way, do you know xyz at Toyota financial?"

Always got me a fair deal :)

I was never that "used car salesman" type guy, but I know how the whole system works front and back

For the DCLBs, yes. They were built in San Antonio. Now I believe they're all assembled in Mexico.

I will never own another double cab short bed. I'm on my 2nd double cab long bed. They are worth the wait
    in finding them.
