I checked my new S C S wheels for tightness yesterday (in reverse to see if I could get them off for maintenance, cleaning, etc) and they are uber tight. I'm so disappointed. I've had issues with shops overtightening wheels in the past. I had to heat a Chevy lug nut to cherry red once and use an impact to get it off. The shop said they torqued to factory specs but I find this to be too much since aluminum wheels heat up while driving/braking and get tighter.
Why is it always something? No one takes the same care with things that you yourself do; from vehicles to homes to just about everything else.

Very strong winds and heavy rainfall last night about 0230hrs

 

LOL, one of the many reasons we left northern CA last year was cost of living.

We get here to KY and find that not everything is all that much cheaper than CA....
* State income taxes seem to be just about the same here, at least my employer witholds about the same amount from each paycheck.
* Groceries are really about the same
* Anything at Lowe's / Home Depot is about the same
* Home prices -- depending on what type of house and property size you are looking for, are a lot higher than expected, though nothing like CA prices if you could take the house and land and transport it to CA it would be 3X what it is in KY. But still a lot higher in general that you'd expect - unless you are looking at single/double wide mobile homes......

But just living in a Free State is far more important than the costs of living. You see people open carrying here.... I went to a local gun store, and in 30 minutes I bought a new gun for my wife for Christmas last month and walked out of the store with it in my hand.
