Now that I think about it, I did make the cuts to the BAMF bracket first before realizing I needed to cut the USO mounting plate as well (which I did a week later) I'm sure I didn't need to remove the lower rib now that I look at it.

Don't know why but a pop up tent on an xrunner makes me feel things.

Welcome to Massachusetts. What part? Are you on the local threads yet? Definitely get them coated for winter. Though this winter hasn't been bad so far but they use salt at any sign of ice

I agree with this too. I’ve been dragging feet on this badly. Maybe l@jpereira2 can point me in the right direction :notsure:

Thanks for the heads up guys; I used to live in MA, told myself I wasn't going to deal with snow ever again but I'm dumb and here we go again. I'll be in W. Springfield, looking forward to meet local Taco owners.

With that said, I should have applied some fluid film while they're still in LA but have a lot going on with the move so will do that overthere this weekend.

Major mod over the weekend. Had to replace my 3 year 27F battery that only made it 4.5 years. $116 and they forgot add a core charge.

I was able to pull the drivers side off last night before my fingers went numb and I'm gonna try to pull the passenger side tonight as long as we don't get to much snow. Going to drop them off this week for sand blasting and powder coating. They have lasted 4 years in the nasty MN winters so I'd say its not to bad.

I am in the process of doing the exact same thing with my RCI sliders. But I need to take care of all the surface rust left on the frame from where the sliders were attached. Instead of powder coating the sliders, I went the route of primer > POR-15 > spray on bed liner because I want to be able to touch them up after banging into rocks!

I put together custom virtual seats on Katzkin's website haha. Now to continue going back and forth about whether to pull the trigger or not...

Yeah I thought about doing that to but I'm running out of time at this point and with how cold it is I don't think it would turn out to great. I found a local shop that quoted me about $300 for both sides for blasting and coating with texture. I'm surprised my frame is still good under them. I did have the frame treated and then put the sliders back on so that probably helped a lot.
