Can't see it at work

I'm intrigued by the new G47.

    It's just a MOS G17 with a 1/2" shorter dust cover and uses a G19 RSA.

Cool beans. I like the new modular G47. I'd like to have it and a G19 to make a G19L......like the G23L I made :D

Does your MOS have the plastic or metal plate? I saw where Glock has started using plastic optics plates.

This new 17 is not a MOS. The G21 I'm picking up tomorrow is MOS. I'll let you know when I have it in hand.

I assume it's a money saving thing. I don't see it really being a problem. Hell, I'd imagine most put optics on anyway and throw the plate in the box :D

I've shot the red dots on pistols and I don't really care for them. I just run the 3 dot tritium sights and I shoot them well.

I took the optic of my 43x. It wasn't my cup-o-tea.

Look up the G47. It's a cool modular system. You can put a G19 frame on it and have a G19 with G17 slide.

It looks super simple if you know how to solder. For example if you just change the color of the needles and the back ground you only need to change 18 LEDs that are about $0.50 a piece and would take about an hour start to finish.

I can change every light in the truck except for the overhead compass and temp. Need to figure out if that is possible.

    I already own a 17 and 19, so I wouldn’t need a 47.

With that logic, you should only own 2 AR's :D

As long as Im not in possession of an assembled "pistol" with a brace after this goes unto effect, then I'm within the law. I don't really think there is really any sort of trap but I agree about doing form 1's. But if in doubt we should error on the side of caution.

Kind of my thoughts too. Also own a 43x and it's one of my favorites.

Phil, I put a Holksun 507k on a 43XMOS and have realized the learning curve for finding the dot is pretty big..... especially with the smaller window on the smaller pistol. I haven't given up on it but haven't invested the time to be proficient with it.

Watch the vid. It's most definitely a trap. They ask you to send proof of you having a SBR. They will automatically deny applications(even if you would pass) if it hits 88 days. The ATF even stated that they would go after people that got denied b/c you had/have a SBR in your possession that isn't a registered NFA item.

The FBI told the ATF they aren't doing background checks for them. No way will the ATF be able to process the applications in time. People will do want they think is the right thing by sending in pics/prints/addys and then get denied. They have freely admitted to having an unregistered NFA item at that point.

    The best option(s)
    1. Remove the brace and go on about your business
    2. Remove brace, Form 1, get stamp, replace brace, or put a stock on it.

    Witha normal Form 1

You send in the measurements. You never actually "build" it until the stamp is back. The new bullshit goes against all of that.

I had a Swampfox Sentinel on mine. It just wasn't my cup-o-tea.
