So I am really thinking about painting some different parts of my truck. I'm tired of it looking like every other Tacoma on the road. I just want to do a few minor touch ups to make it stand out a little bit. My truck is a 2011 Double Cab that is Magnetic Gray Metallic. My only problem is that I can't decide what color to go with. Here are some of the things I'm thinking about painting: badges, front brake caliper, rear brake drum (maybe), engine cover, and maybe some of the other flat black parts under the hood.

Any suggestions or pictures of what all you have painted on your trucks (outside and engine bay) would be greatly apprecitaed.

Here is a pic of what I'm working with.

I painted my badges flat black and aside from it taking forever to cut/peel/place the mounting tape onto the back side of the badges they are staring to chip a little and should be redone soon. So prep those very well or just de-badge completely.
-paint the center caps on your wheels, grille surround, grille emblem, inside your fuel filler door, tow hook, trailer hitch...
    lots of things to paint

When I see a car w/o badges I feel like they had some body damage repaired and were just too lazy to replace the badges. But that's just me.

My white truck will get plasti-dipped black badges eventually.

i say with the color truck you have to go with plasti-dip flat black. And definitely do the engine cover sides like dark gray leaving the middle black, kinda would match the paint scheme on the exterior of your truck... plus the great thing about plasti dip is that if you get over having them black you can just take it off or just take the emblems off completely then... just my suggestion :)

I painted the lettering on the engine cover yeller... eh-hem, I mean yellow. It was a royal b*tch to tape around them and it didn't come out exactly how I wanted but if you stand back far enough it doesn't look horrible

one of these days I want to do something with the emblems, just haven't got around to it.
