A neighbor of mine has a cool (flat fender?) Jeep project. Wanted to offer to let him use my welder if needed but didn’t want to make it weird.

Or make it less weird and when you're out mowing the lawn or something, wave hi?

Start small; most people are generally social and it's that initial hello that most people can't do themselves.

Or be like me and just keep to yourself cause your social battery is so small it can barely run a tea light :anonymous:

I was too social with my last set of neighbors so now I’m scared.

Filled you guys in on the saga of repairing my stroke survivor landlord/neighbor’s 80s Japanese economy cars.

I always watch with subtitles. Half because when I watch at home by myself, Sofia is sleeping and its gotta be low. Half because when Rebecca and I watch stuff, her ideal volume sounds like whispering to me (maybe its my ears, I dunno)

got so used to it that I just do it all the time even when no one else is around and I can make it as loud as I want.

Its helpful when characters talk fast or mumble something

It might have been a beagle, I didn't read the actual story lol. The other one from months back happened when a dog stepped on his owner's shotgun out in the field if I remember right.

yeah both entirely preventable. I don't know why anyone would think it a good idea to toss a loaded weapon in your backseat and then let your dog walk all over it.

    @Abeyancer

    Got the table filled.

Figured I'd give it a go at that motor mount as my first piece. I actually went from DWF file to immediately getting my setup for post process.

Friend stopped by as he wanted to watch it in action but needed to leave shortly after-

    Here's the run

    20230125_151857.jpg

The finished product; I had to knock the holes out as I haven't figured out values for cutting holes yet -

Cut piece next to the actual model -

    20230125_151515.jpg

    They're damn near identical -

    20230125_151529.jpg

Edges are clean as hell after knocking the little dross off -

    Backside too -

I'll post retail pricing to give you a good idea

$780 for the plasma cutter I have
$800-1000 for laptop, not high end but must be able to handle a CAD program
$100 give or take for fluid additive
$2700 for the cnc plasma table with Z axis, XL option (10" more cutting area), water table, and laptop stand
    $300 for separate machine torch
$500-1200 for an air compressor with high cfm, use some of this money for air dryer filters

Not sure what else I'm forgetting...
