Half the trip up my hill has a hill on one side and a drop off on the other.

On my way to town I found a lady in a Nissan Rogue off the road and almost over the bank. There was only about 3" of snow at that point, and she was on an open, almost flat, sweeping curve.

She was OK and had called AAA for a tow truck. She said several times "I don't understand, I was in 4 wheel drive"... :tinfoilhat:

There were no tracks but hers in the fresh snow, it was 11 am and clear. Following her tracks I could see where she was hugging the edge of the wrong side of the road for whatever reason for more than a 1/2 mile. In addition to driving on the wrong side this is the side with the drop off.

What actually put her off the road was hitting a mailbox, then she lost it.

The tracks were a smooth arc right up to the mailbox, no skidding or sliding, she was just hugging the edge of the wrong side of the road and blasted the mailbox which was an innocent victim.

Several hours later coming home there was a rollback truck crosswise in the road only about 250 feet from the bottom of the hill, the load deck was jabbed into the hillside, his front bumper over the edge of the drop.

The tow truck needed a tow truck.

Property taxes are rough; we have all of our taxes, home insurance and vehicles' insurance all at the same time.:eek::eek:

I like to wait until the very last minute to pay my property taxes. :anonymous: Absolute waste of my money imo.

Barrett Jackson was packed this afternoon, so I didn't stay very long today. I saw several 67-72 chevy trucks and k5 blazers that were very nice. I wish I could find a 72 k5 blazer unrestored for cheap and customize it to my taste. Car shows always give me ideas for paint, interior, wheels, ect.

I’m with him. When we went, we stopped in California for a couple day visiting family. Coming back was a whole different deal. We flew from Hawaii to San Jose, California. Then, from there to birmingham all in one shot. The suck part was the layover in San Jose and Las Vegas. Five hours at one stop, then two hours at the other stop. We were up for 37 hours strait, and I had to work the next day. Haven’t flown since. I had enough air travel to last long time.

Flying is a painful experience everytime. I am unfortunately racking up those frequent flier miles in February… bama the week of the 6, then Connecticut the week of the 13th. Can’t say I’ve ever been to the north east, should be interesting… overseas flights are always the worst. Texas to Japan kills me everytime. There has also been more then once I’ve spent more time delayed in Dallas for weather then flying.Atleast they stopped the disinfecting mist they were doing after boarding. Even with a mask on that stuff sent me into a coughing fit.
