I can't find a picture but my first bike was a 1999 Honda Nighthawk 750 I bought in college. It was the cheapest thing I could find that was still running, even though I didn't really like the style of it.

Do you have aftermarket exhaust? Wonder if that would clear mine (arrow). Definitely checking on it. Thanks for the tip!

I had one of those. Hated the look. Chopped it up, didn't know how to weld, sold it for parts

That was a bad ass bike. My second bike was an RZ350 I had in high school around ‘84. I had the RZ, friend had interceptor, and another had one of the first Gen Ninja 600’s. We used to race before school. There was a road that ended by the Everglades in FL. We rode to the end and turned around. We could just barely see a stop light off in the distance. It turned green and we would go. I could launch the RZ great, kept up with the Ninja until about 70, The guy on the Honda didn’t know how to launch so I always took him. The bike was awesome though. (He bought an RZ later on too) o_O

It’s crazy how many people come up to you and ask questions when you are on a mini bike

I have a Two Bros exhaust and the stand does rest against it, but it doesn't really bother me.

    Two things:

    1) Got off work yesterday and had a Ducati Hypermotard 1100 with some ohlins and nice carbon fiber bits parked next to me. I didn't realize how small they were. Still a dream bike, but yeah, was kind of shocked compared to the BMW how little it looked. Fingers crossed someday I'll bump into the owner

    2) Heard back from the dealership. Grom is $4500 OTD, only fee's not put on by Honda area $98 prep and $50 doc. I can live with that. No absurd assembling or S&H or anything is niiiice. Fingers crossed bike shows up tomorrow so I can pick up this weekend  Oh, and no dice on the crated delivery, whomp whomp.

I'm still debating which direction I want to go with it. ADV Groms are fun, but seeing some of them with slicks and a belly pan also make me want to go that direction, too. Probably start with bars and controls and riding it a bit and then see where I want to go from there I suppose.

    That's amazing! I'd pay $4500 for a Grom/Monkey all day. Around here they're marked up past $5k.

Benefits of a small town, I suppose! I think they made up the set-up number to get it to an even 4500, but it's not worth arguing to me. Set up on these is literally screwing on mirrors and making sure it runs, but if they went more in depth with function and fit/finish checks I could see it taking a tech an hour or two, which in that case seems fair.

This is how much the dealer wanted for the Navi, without doc fees and other small charges. With TTL it would be ~$3200...

Here in California when they first released and were super hyped up they were selling used for north of $3k. Even now I see all of them listed for $2500+.
