Posted this before in other threads. I hate to repeat, but it is appropriate for here since the title includes "Cheap Mods...".
(Don't know how to make the photos small. I can crop, but not reduce the size. Stand back to view.)

The carriage bolts, spacers, washers, & nuts are very cheap. The weapon locking cables are $3.50 at the local surplus store.

The jerry can holder is attached to the bed siderails w/ aluminum strap from Lowes.

Mirror mounted ditch lights saved me from buying hood brackets. (also, I can reach out my window to move the mirror and "aim" the lights.)

Sheet of diamond plate from Lowes. Under battery tray to hold on-board-air compressor.

Plunge switch, 4 for $5, mounted in an existing hole. No drilling required. Works hood lights when hood lifted, off when closed.

For me the red accents in the interior make all the difference. Want to do the push button start in red next.

I just got a ribbon cable from Aliexpress that helps make this a little more low profile.... and happily it works fine.

the .2M was enough to get down the dash and under the cubby, just need to dig up some velcro to mount it.

Planning something similar but it is designed to sit in a small switch opening, and has two QC 3.0 USB charging ports. Which is good since the built-in charging port in the dash feeds a Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto dongle.
Generally the wireless charger is good enough for the phone, but sometimes, if the charge is really low...
I plan to install it when the Wx turns warm.

I currently have two 2x6 cross brace with plywood cut in half lengthwise. I'm thinking cutting them this way work work better for my set up. Are you finding any bowing to the boards? I'm using it as a sleeping platform. Thanks

I changed out my 2016 side panel to a 2019 side panel to gain an additional switch area. I then purchased the remote bass knob for my amplifier and integrated it into a blank on the panel. I know it's not exactly OEM, but it's fairly clean I think all things considered.

This is my fav so far. Blacked out the obnoxiously bright shift indicator rings and painted the sport +/-. One pic is with a headlamp pointing down on it. You can barely see the rings. During the day you can’t see the rings at all. I used MGM paint. But I’m sure you could make it any color you’d like. The other pic is what it looks like driving at night (I was not driving in the pic, haha). You have to black out the inner led bulbs as well for this to be 100% affective. I cut tiny pieces of electrical tape and applied over each of the 3 bulbs. 100% shifter disassembly is required to do this mod.
