Yeah, it's a lot! But it's fun for me still so I make the most of it!

haha yup i do photography once and awhile as well but every time i want to get a new lens or upgrade i look at the cost and go damn thats a lot of bike parts or one thing for the truck lmao

 

I dont even understand how that happens.

At one point, i gave away probably 300 cars still in the packaging and probably 500 out of the packaging. Then a buddy gifted me a few newer style ones…then i found a couple i liked one day in the store and it started all over. But i’ve been casually gathering them for maybe 3-4 years and i’m only at 117

 

Started slow for me because I only collected vw bugs. Usually only find a few new ones a year. Then I started looking for all the older ones on eBay and shows. Then Convention cars, and any custom bug. Still buy a few that are not bugs but just because I like them.

 

It doesnt help that I found out I have 3 friends that each have hot wheels close to or above four digits xxxx +

 

I started collecting in 1982. It will get out of control. You tell yourself it is an investment but the reality most of what you collect you will never make any money on. You will break even maybe. I was into Nascar before it was popular and Nascar tanked the value of that stuff when they flooded the market in the 1990s. I was stuck with totes full of that stuff and it took a lot of years to get it gone. I am pretty much specific collecting drag racing and pick up trucks anymore. That's bad enough.
Years from now you will ask yourself why did I buy this or that and then wander how you are going to get rid of it. When you buy things like this do it because its something you really like. I have a friend who in the 1990s had to buy every Hot Wheels made and even had to have all the color variations, He was addicted with it and now has a basement full of totes just sitting there. He still calls it an investment.

I can post everything I found if you want.. sometimes I feel like I'm hogging up the thread though.

 

I say post a few a day. Gives us something to look forward too.

Found this in a 50 cent clearance bin... only one I saw in there...

I found that Dodge TH by accident too! Kilocharlie pointed it out.../salute.
That Drag Strip set has a couple other cool cars.

 

Yes they are cool. I know I always say I only collect vw bugs but I will probably buy those ones too when I see them.

 

Love the art work on all of them but especially this one! This has @RLMoody all over it.
