Are you swapping a 2015 head unit into an 05-11? If so, I'd be interested in how that went.

 

Yes. There is a thread somewhere in my large set of watched threads. The antenna adapter was straightforward once I realized I needed it. The bluetooth microphone to pair the phone is annoying (haven't installed it yet). And I want to add audio controls but haven't started tinkering with that at all.
Working on the hvac controls too, think I have that mostly there, need time to push it forward.
I'll try to document in my build thread at some point. Right now the '05 is waiting on accutune to send back the rear shocks so it's not roadworthy, hence no love.

I guess it depends how much they charge you. I bought a truck back years ago and was able to make enough parting it out to pay for all my upgrades for my new truck.

 

Adventure ready garage sale is where I got my ARB recovery point for a great deal. They had a lot of good stuff for cheap, but very specific stuff that not many folks would need/want. Buddy picked up one of those front runner under rack tables with mounts for like 1/3 price of new. And it was new, open box.
