How long does powder coating take to cure/dry/harden/whatever it does?

Hour(ish). They run it through an oven about 450° and when it cools off to handle, it’s finished

Sounds like it might be a bit too expensive for me just to play astronaut unless I get to hang out in the capsule with Snoopy lol.

Since it looks like Hunter's suits are out of my price range I’ll make some Nasa logo decals and we will play with your suits :D

I’ve actually worn a Level A suit. Way back in the early part of my Coast Guard time I was at a Marine Safety Office. They sent me to Hazwoper school, we got to play dress up for the class final. Luckily I never had to wear one for real!

This has been my fun for the last couple days. Should be finished up tomorrow. Was able to work with the shit material after some program and setup adjustments.

I was able to ride in the new Mach 1 Mustang and a new C8 Corvette around the Barrett Jackson track this afternoon. First time in a rear engine Corvette and that car is incredible and scary how fast it builds speed. Traction is not an issue and it corners very well. The Mustang was a disappointment. It seemed like the sway bars were too stiff as it didn't like to kick the rear end out. It also seemed underpowered and geared too tight for this track. First choice is the Hellcat, second C8 Vette. :burnrubber:

The auction was picking up this evening and more people than yesterday were pouring in. Several with beer or vodka in one hand and a cigar, cigarette, or :rasta: in the other. Police presence aka "behavioral control" is also picking up. I wonder how many will wake up the next morning with a hangover, less money and a new used car! Don't forget that 10% auction buyers fee on top. A lot of "new money" Scottsdale people lacking self control... Tomorrow night should be interesting.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    I admit I am just strange .

I will take the Cold and Snow over 100 Degrees and 100% humidity

looking at the numbers my Electric is higher to cool then heat!

I was thinking about a Coal fired Boiler to to turn a steam power turbine ($$$$) to spin a generator

All the coal I need is 20 miles away.

    Good morning Wrenchmen :hattip:

Yesterday's clearance rack score at Slowe's - these cool little knives for $3.97.
They use a standard utility blade like my well worn daily Sheffield also pictured.

    Good morning all :hattip:.

    Happy Friday!

I’m happy for this week to be over but I have to grind through a 2 hour meeting to end my day. Who schedules a 2 hour meeting at the end of a day on Friday?

Managers who offer little value, their version of "usefulness" is doing petty muscle flexing things like this.

They feel a full day of attending meetings and "having input" qualifies as a hard days work. :frusty:

EDIT: I know that sounds harsh -- I have a had a few fine managers along the way -- and several useless ones too.
