Given my experience with the 22 Tundra, it will take them 18 - 24 months to get the new design bugs out. I broke my own rule of never buying a first year, new design vehicle. Never again! :)

I have not had any issues what so ever. But I have less then a thousand miles on it. I like it a lot, I believe it needs some KO2s to give it a better look. I wanted the long bed so I was lucky to find this one. Was expensive but I do like all the features it as. I would have spent a lot more for an F150 or new Tundra. To get leather, moon roof etc.

Oh a few…. Windshield noise, door seals, (all of them), window seals, sunroof seal, speakers, multiple suspension bolts needing re-torquing, fuel gauge that would automatically go to full despite being 3/4 empty when parked on a grade, transmission noise, broken interiors plastic, turbo activation delays/loss of power. It required more service work in the first 3 months than all 10+ Toyotas I owned in the last 25 years. Traded it on a 6MT TRD Pro to get the last of the current gen before they ruin it for a couple of years…

That sucks, I’ve heard of a few of those complaints. Any concerns with current gen losing value with the new body style out ect?

Wouldn’t that qualify for lemon law? Or is that not worth the time to do.

Not at all. Especially for the 6MT if they stop making them. The new one will be smoother riding with rear coils, it will have a big screen in upper tier models and of course it will have a turbo with a new transmission and a hybrid power option. The front end will look like the tundra. Fuel economy will be decent and may even sneak under 9.5l/100km with granny driving.

It will have lots of new tech but I found the new Tundra lost some soul and drove beautifully but felt cheap. They will get things fixed mid cycle refresh and maybe I will look at the new Tacoma in 2027 but until then I will be rocking my 6MT pro.

    Ordered a '22 Pro March 28th, 2022 and received a '23 Pro January 25th, 2023. Couldn't be happier to be back in a Tacoma. I missed my Gen 2 after I traded it in for a 5th Gen 4R.

    Winter wheels currently on.

    Beautiful truck.
I waited 10 months for my 22 Sport, I know the pain of waiting that long.
    Well worth the wait.
    Enjoy.

Thanks man. I had given up on the truck and then seemingly out of the blue I got the call. The longest part was the 5 day wait till I could get to the dealer to sign the paper work.

Ordered a DCSB OR in Lunar Rock, last week, being built next week and due here early March. The only thing I don't like about it is the want to spend money on "stuff". ARE DCU, bumper and winch, sliders, tires, seat covers and possibly a small lift to start. My last toyota was an '85 extra cab sr5

You don’t say? And here we have a few select members that SWEAR each vehicle that rolls off the assembly line is just the same as the one before or the 51st one after it, for these mass produced consumer goods.

sorry you’re having troubles, hope they get sorted out; your experience proves the point that not every vehicle is going to be the same as another one just like it (obviously).
