My foster mom is a nurse of 50 years. She studied to be a doctor at one point.

Thank you, Marty! I'll be alright, as long as I can find my damn sunglasses :)

    Good Morning fellow elders !!!:hattip:

Interesting night for me ..... about 0245hrs I heard my CO alarm go off in my bedroom and it scared the *&%$ out of me . Within seconds of that alarm I heard another one go off near the kitchen . The weird thing is all what I heard was a single chirp

I walked thru the house but didn't notice anything but I opened up a couple of windows to clear whatever set the alarms off . Now this is a year old " new" house that I moved into In December of last year . It has all the newer style high tech hard wired alarms with battery backup and reset capability

I look online to see if I could figure out or troubleshoot what's going on . I know a single chirp indicates a low battery but looking at the red and green status lights all six of these alarms showed no fault detected and showing normal status

This is the second time that my CO alarms have gone off . The first time was just 3 weeks after I moved in and the same scenario with a single chirp but no faults detected

After about an hour later I was able to go back to sleep but didn't sleep well after that !!!

    Good Morning :hattip:

Windy with a tad bit of snow today. Cold air from Canada moves in tomorrow.

    Don't like at all.
    Please get yourself checked out.
I say this based on family experience.

    Cute kitty.

My B&D smoke detectors and the duals (smoke/CO2) are all wired in together, and when their battery reaches a low point the single device gives its warning chirp. As they're supposed to. Isolate, replace, curse the damn battery for not doing this shit at 3PM on a Sunday instead of 3AM on a Wednesday, and press on.

A couple of years ago I started having the smoke-only units fail, and instead of throwing their single beep they'd force the WHOLE GODDAMN SYSTEM to throw beeps. How the fuck am I supposed to isolate this shit? I had to go unit-by-unit disconnecting them from their network and wait for the beeping to stop. Turns out they had started failing (in the warranty period) and a simple call to the number on the back got me a replacement unit. Cool. It didn't happen to the more expensive duals, but the $9.95 smoke-only units kept crapping out.

But troubleshooting failing devices that are networked together and keep making the other units freak out is a major PITA.

HA!!!! YES!!!!! My favorite loco moco breakfast! I was asked if I was a local because I had a shirt that said "keep it local." Then the huge plate of food came out! Miss that place and so many others down there.

Had to edit this to ask.....do they still serve a thing of mac salad with it? People on the East coast don't understand how well it all goes well together. I actually bought a packet of gravy from a smaller place near pearl to bring back. lol

It's a First Alert CO and I also have First alert smoke alarms

Like i mentioned only heard a single chirp over 7.5 hours ago . The green light flashes every 5 seconds and the red light flashes once every 45-50 seconds . I've looked at First alerts troubleshooting guide and according to the green and red lights indicates normal operation . Also the single chirp doesn't make sense . Another thing is it has only happened late at night and in cold weather

    That's not good !!!!

I'm not climbing up a ladder right now with my knee still healing from surgery
