Sorry if I mislead, that was just the price of the truck. OTD was just over 34. Things are sure a lot different from when I bought my last one and I only wish I could’ve paid that OTD. I was just happy to not pay for any nonsense.

 

Yep. I know what you mean. I bought an Outlander for my wife and felt LUCKY to swing an MSRP deal... Buying new was treated like some sort of privilege where they charge 4 to 6 thousand more and that's that. I had to again go out of state to purchase something at a reasonable price .. MSRP deal on the vehicle was the best I could do. Where I really wound up making out was the trade in. I couldn't believe how much loot they gave me for the Jetta I traded in.

 

I'd want to strip it of the modest modifications I made.
33k seems like a lot for 50kmiles .

I'm just going to stick with what I have for now. It'll be paid off in 10 months.

Ordered wheels, tires, mud flaps, and oem black lugs. Got a 23 OR grill and some lightly used weather techs from a buddy. Everything should be here by end of week and installed this weekend

The Toyota Jamboree finally posted some pics of our trail ride. Glad I could represent the SR’s at the event last year.

 

Did you just do the shocks or did you also replace the coils?

 

Just the shocks. If you are adding more weight to front and rear (steel bumper, winch, gear etc.) different coils makes sense. Per Bilstein's specs 5100s are designed to work with factory, stock coils.

 

Cool and thanks for the info. I'm looking to add them to my truck as well. I'm just trying to decide exchange the coils now or wait. I don't have plans to add a lot of weight, but you never know.

 

You'll be happy with them, especially if you're running bigger/heavier tires. You can always install them and switch out springs as you mod further! Have fun!

 

My 2020 SX with added fogs and ditch lights, led headlights and tail lights, led interior lights, mud flaps, floor mats. 265/75r16 wildpeaks go on soon and that’ll be it for awhile

Yeah when comparing used 2020 SR5 with used 2020 SR SX, it became pretty obvious the SX made sense. It also helped that I was able to pick it up at an absolute steal.

Older gentleman leased it for 2 years, barely put any miles on it (just under 20k) but left the inside smelling like an ash tray. No one was willing to buy it from the dealership until I showed up. Acted pretty upset about the smell and talked them down quite a ways. I then managed to get rid of the smell after 2 ceiling and upholstery scrub downs. A couple hours of cleaning saved me thousands!

 

2023 SR DC 4x4 MGM. Picked up 12/21/22. First new vehicle since 2008 (Tundra). Sure is fancy.

Nice, I have the 2020 version of that truck. I removed the front air dam, added a toolbox, glovebox divider, and armrest organizer —- and now it’s good enough for who it’s for.

 

SR grill removed, blacked-out honeycomb grill installed with some grill badges, air dam removed, TRD shifter (knock off) and glove box inserts.
