I thought it might have so I check. Give google credit for one thing, at least their search is pretty good for finding things. Eh, I put my email back on the list and added a second notification to my phone number too. Hope it's not another year before they get restocked though.

Somebody just added a lime green unboxing and assembly on utube.
It's about 3x too long and 2 parts.
not me or anyone I know.
My red one didn't ship until today.

Seems to me the key accidentally releasing will be a non issue. You have to press the release button pretty far in to get it to activate. Everything looks awesome to me! Thanks @MESO for another awesome gizmo for the truck!

Dremeled a channel for a tiny key ring around one of the screws, cut off the adjacent bottle opener tooth and touched up the oopsies on the metal insert with some paint before final assembly. Pretty happy with it.
The key is very snug and you do have to press the button with very specific pressure fairly deeply to release it, but I enjoy tinkering.
An easier mod for securing the key would be to shave down the raised tab on the button. Then it would require a more deliberate press to release the key

Ordered on the 20th, still no shipping notification. This seems to be standard MESO practice nowadays. Last time I ordered an "in-stock" product, and paid extra for expedited shipping, they didn't ship it for nearly a week.

Do the key ring mods maintain the waterproof seal? I just wish there was a MESO end plate with a small integrated loop that stuck out the end or side

    I don't think it's water proof?

I have never seen anything saying fob IP rating aftermarket or OEM.

If you watch the V1 assembly video, it maintains the factory dust cover. So it is just as water resistant as the OEM fob, if not more so. The places that are being modified for a key ring are below were the dust seal covers, so no, they are not effecting the water resistance with their mods.

    Right. I get that.

I guess I was just focusing on the Water proof vs water resistant.

Sorry, quoted the wrong post. Having replaced the battery in my OEM fob, I would say definitely not waterproof. However, I would hope that most car manufacturers would realize that at some point their fancy fobs would end up needing to be used in a torrential downpour. So that’s why I say water resistant. I’m sure they can take a good splash, spill, or rain, but I doubt they would work after being submerged for any length of time.

Mines gone through my washing machine. I took it apart and aired it out for a day. Works like it never happened years later.

Well now I just feel like an idiot for not thinking of that! I would much rather have a different metal insert with a hole sticking out the side.
I guess I was so focused on where the key ring attached on V1 I didn’t even consider making one on the side of the fob

Anyone else have issues with the release? Got the voodoo blue one yesterday and it doesn’t seem to have a spring. The release button just kinda flops around. Was I supposed to reuse the OEM spring somehow?
