Just what the PO told me. He did all the work himself and seemed pretty competent. Only OEM parts were used.

hahaha i try and be nice when they come up. They do make some great products but I wouldn't buy any custom axle housing stuff from them. They're super hard to get a hold of.

 

It says " built to exceed OEM Specification", do you think they could just lie on their Amazon page like that?

 

@Speedytech7 Have you ever heard of driveline vibrations showing up after the installation of 11mm extended lower control arms on an 80 series? This is considering the pinion angles are correctly set.

Not unless the slip yoke is damaged, 11mm is just a hair over a centimeter, should have way more play in a slip yoke safely. My guess is improper pinion angle or the driveshaft came apart and they put it back together out of phase

 

That'll be a back and forth back and forth adjustment routine I wouldn't want to mess with.

Your buddy have adjustable uppers as well?

Panhard bar relocation done? Since the axle is being moved, the panhard bar should be adjustable as well (would require a slightly longer length).

 

That's it. The pinion angle is supposed to be correct. Out of phase drive shaft could be it.

 

Ooh aren't you having driveshaft issues yourself?

I was thinking it was a combination of lift and the altering of the factory geometry that would introduce vibrations. Like you said, that difference is so minimal the slip yoke has plenty more to travel.

 

Haven't been in an 80 in the snow, but the 100 was a blast.
My AWD Express van that I camperized was also damn fun in the snow. I didn't have a heavy build, so tat was probably part of it, but good memories in that thing in the snow/ice.

Don't know about adjustable uppers. I would use my chassis ear to zero in on the vibration.
