These scenarios you bring up, are often not at all noticeable by anyone unless it's a professional driver.

I say this in reference to the above post, or others when talking about vehicle comparisons (unless it's truly obvious like a VW Rabbit in stock form vs a Z06).

Oh yea. Did all of the 3+ mods to mine. I'm trying to help a buddy with an 80 series. Once I got the pinion angles set perfectly, it glides like it's on rails. So much so that it will float home from CO at 100 mph. And then I get a speeding ticket.

Have y'all checked rover? I have had decent luck finding families who have lots of pet experience. I look for people who don't have pets of their own which thins it out a bit. My current pet sitter is a couple and they do good with taking Molly on lots of walks and playing with her in the yard. They have kid that adores having the dogs to play with so they get lots of attention

The year we had a big snow in February 2021, I ran up and down Petit Jean Mountain. I was the only truck up there for a while.

We did doggy hotel for Biscuit and Bronx on our wedding day.

You get to choose different criteria of either having them with all the other dogs, or just the 2 together. Playtime, treats at a specified time along with food, and whatever else you provide. We included a toy for them each from home.

Even got pics of them after we picked them up.

 

Can only imagine how smooth and quiet a 100 series is.

 

I had one of my sketchiest drives ever up Petit Jean to a rental cabin. Late at night, huge thunderstorms and tons of lightning. I could hardly see a car length ahead of myself. Puckered the whole way.

 

my ex worked at a doggy hotel in Hollywood for awhile, that place was crazy....nicer than most of the hotels I've stayed at lol. They had some big name clientele though.

 

It’d be cool to see an off-road comparison with a pro driver on various models of used 4x4. Not that it’ll ever happen since it’s such a niche interest.

In any case I get what you’re saying that we’re unlikely to find the margins where any differences in capability would become apparent.

Even so, it seems like you’ve wheeled your three trucks enough in similar situations to find those margins and come out with the conclusion that the LC is best for the kind of driving you do, which I think is a valuable perspective.

That seems really good. Most jobs only give 120; that’s what I get.

 

160 + I can carry over 40

 

At that price I feel like they either haven't looked at the market lately or something is up.

Yea that sounds better than most places. The US doesn’t even have any required PTO after all.
