Would you happen to know what the weight difference was or, if not, if the new one piece just felt noticeable lighter? Just a curiosity of mine.

I’m not sure, but I do have the oem 2pc laying around in the garage. I could weigh it if someone wanted to weigh their TW shaft for comparison.

TW for the win! I came down hard on my OEM DS the other week wheeling and had a terrible vibration from 40-52 and subtle but vibes at other speeds. Visible dents so I know it’s out of balance. Ordered this and it arrived within a few days. Easy install and truck feels great.

My TW drive shaft arrived today. Attempting install but having issues and hoping someone with experience can assist.

I’ve undone all 10 bolts and was able to get the front to drop free after some good hard hits with a dead blow. I cannot for the life of me get the rear to break free. All bolts are out but the flanges seem to be stuck together. Anyone else experience this and have a solution?

I used a thin flat head screwdriver where the flanges meet and tapped the end of that with the dead blow -- worked my way around a bit and it eventually broke free.

He have you had any vibrating problem with the new tw driveshaft. I installed mine and noticed it touch the carrier a few times and now I have a bad vibrate at 45-50mph.

No issues from mine. it's been great. Are you talking about the bracket that the old carrier would bolt to? Maybe that could be notched, but the fact that it sometimes hits it is maybe more worrisome? bolts tight? any noticeable play? straight/true shaft?

yeah that good to hear and I got no play and made sure everything is tight I have been playing with my pinion angle thinking that was it but no luck. I am sending the drive shaft back to have it checked but it just frustrating to me. My rear pinion is 3 degrees up and transfer case is 3 degrees down but it still shakes bad. prior to shoving shims in the rear the pinion was 7 degrees up so not sure if the poor angle, hitting the carrier, and did one pull to 110 is what messed up the balance of the new drive shaft.

3.5" shaft should fit fine mine has been flexed and beat all OK, but 4" needs that bracket cut off.
    Read the Woods site info:

U-joints on shaft set up with zero angle at both ends.
    CVs read the info.
Weak stock springs will cause wrap/flex and vibrations a known issue.
    Good luck.
