yep js u can get an 85 w/ sfa that is carb from the factory, not all of em got EFI

edit: maybe that only applies for pickups

 

You're right about that. I think pickups had the carb option for a few years after 85 too. The 4runner I posted had and EFI badge so being sfa narrowed it down to 85 assuming no swaps had been made to it.

I think you could get them from the factory til 1988 or so, even w/ 4wd if it was a base base model.

What's weird is I've seen at least one 3rd gen pickup on FB market that was 22r swapped with carb and all. I guess if it's what you have in the shed when you break down it works

 

After a lifetime of one person brake bleeding i broke down and bought the HF pneumatic bleeder for the clutch on the Tacoma. I remember it being a bitch before but I think I just put more air into the system trying to do the one person bleed lol

 

Please do not buy that kit. We can probably get you some moogs or better if u need a set of LBJ

Main reason I haven't bought extended brake lines is doing shit alone like bleeding the brakes...and possibly wanting to force myself to put new pads and rotors on anyway.

 

last time I had to bleed my brakes was before Sofia was born, I was trying to finish rear brake line install that of course took way longer than I intended, had to get Rebecca out of bed at close to midnight to work the brake pedal for me while did the bleeders

I should probably get those 1 person bleed kits
