just a couple of things tbh
it will work just fine! just give it a shove lol

ive never ridden a grom but ive ridden mopeds before and its so true you are going slow and are small but you can just have a load of fun goofing off on them
riding a slow bike fast! thats prob why so many like the drz lmao and other dual sports

now its time for you to buy a grom and join in on the fun!

I'll stick to my hopes of getting a CB500X. I'd like to be able to work up to the point I can use it to commute and go visit friends.

I think that's a generous assessment, but kinda. You can certainly put money into them and make them more off road capable, but that usually requires enough money that you'd be better off getting something like a T7 for the money.

The CB500X is styled like an adventure bike, and by all accounts will handle a dirt/gravel/off pavement road or easy trail, but nothing too beefy. Doesn't have the suspension travel, ground clearance, or the protection. It is commonly called the Halfrica Twin, though.

It is. Has been for a few iterations, and in 2022 they addressed most of the nags from previous ones, and they finally gave the US the best color option! We usually only got the black option of the 3 they produce it in. This time we got the new one, which is the green in the previous post.

It's a small, and very tried and true power plant. All the CB500 bikes from Honda run the same engine, and they have been mostly unchanged since at least 2013. They do 3 flavors, the X (Adventure), R (Sport), and F (Naked).

After a couple years of not having a street bike, I got the itch again. I know nothing about Harleys or buells so if anyone has advice I’d welcome it. B78772BC-0518-4E9B-BDA2-4006FB66E2A8.jpg

Thanks! Took it up and down the street real quick, it's a fun little thing. The clutch is the lightest clutch I've ever used to the point where I'm not convinced it's fully engaging haha currently at .2 miles

Yeah, I went ABS just so I could get the gold wheels and forks  Not in love with the graphics and already debating which color plastics to buy. i'm thinking I might go with their gray ones. All my other bikes are white (aside from the Navi) so it might be time for me to branch out in my color schemes.

I'm debating what way I want to go.. mild ADV? mini cbr? Haven't decided yet. Probably won't touch the engine outside of the oil pump and some clutch bits for a while. They have big bore kits for it already, but at that point do you just cbr300 swap it

Priorities right now are to deal with the front forks and probably just swap the springs for something heavier and to get the handlebars swapped out.

Are the graphics decals? Maybe debadge it and go white to match the fleet?

you’ll also have to keep us posted if you find a workaround for to disable the abs (either temp or perm).

Neither do I. For that reason, I say ride it and figure out what you really enjoy about it and what you need to make it more comfortable and fun to ride.

If you haven't already, get some good gear to protect yourself.

DON’T GO THE ADVENTURE ROUTE! You think the suspension is terrible for street riding now, every pothole bottoms out the forks. Throw a set of sticky tires on there and rip around every turn, way more fun than having a terrible time on gravel.

Sweet bike! Now I can actually watch your YouTube videos. :luvya:

Nice and I like the gold wheels. Interested to see what you do with it. I want to get one I should have bought my buddy’s when I had the chance. A light clutch is good with me …my left thumb is not like it used to be

I got it because after years riding sport bikes on roads and tracks my wife and I got monsters and I really liked the air cooled vtwin for twisty roads. I have lots of gear but yes, gear is crucial. Here’s our monsters025187CE-6A8A-49AF-9053-E5B24E3D10B8.jpg
