    A 1987ish Mercedes 300E (W124) that needs a bit of restoration, but seems to be solid and has less than 90K miles! This car is the reason I turned around in the middle of 309 and went back for a look at the lot...

    I thought this was a Euro-spec W124 due to the plastic wheel covers, but it turns out that it is in fact a US-spec 260E. The 260E and the 300E variants of the W124 both have inline-6 engines, but the 300E had a more powerful engine and was by far more popular here in North America. This one's color combo is extraordinarily similar to the 1987 300E that my grandma bought new and owned until 2005 (though she stopped driving it in 2002)...
