Does anybody have any experience with Wescott Designs? I’m really interested in their preload space lift for the front only. I’d like to do an add a leaf instead of a block. I’ve reached out to them a couple different times and ways, but haven’t heard anything back. Does anybody have experience with their preload collar and an add a leaf? I’d like to guve the rear of the tacoma a slight rake like factory. What add a leafs will give me what I’m looking for? Thanks for any information. I’m new to Tacomas. Came here from Jeeps.

This is for a 2023 trd off road.

Only on pro's. But I've always found pre-load spacers to ride a lot rougher than the top hat spacers.

Preload spacers are safer to run, but have a compromise to gain ride height. I've never installed a set on a Toyota that I've liked.

If you are looking to raise the rear, a 1" block is fine for no load. If you plan on towing/hauling/topper, I'd suggest a simple Icon 1.5" add-a-leaf.

Edit: 400$?! No way. I vote 5100 shocks with a higher clip, or save up for a coil over set.

good to know. This is only a temporary solution while I decide what I really want/need. And they’re $299 which isn’t too bad in my mind. I’ll give the 5100’s a look though.

I dealt with Westcott on the purchase of my sliders.
They answered the phone each time I called them.
I have no.reaon to believe they are anything less than top shelf.
    Keep trying.

Thanks for this. They finally got back to me. Answered my questions, and offered any other help if needed. Not just gotta decide if I want to start easy with their kit and an add a leaf, or spend a little more and do a bilstein 5100.

I put a set on a 21 sport. Keep in mind you will need to compress the spring to install these. We broke a JEGS “professional” compressor and about took someone’s hand off trying to do this. Ended up taking the struts to Firestone and paying them. So in the end it would have been the same price to go the Bilstein route. Doesn’t look bad once complete though.

I used the Westcott collar on my 2010 4Runner when I put the OEM TRD Pro Billsteins on it and have always been happy with the ride quality. They were a total PITA to install as mentioned before but if I ever find someone to sell me their TRD Fox takeoffs for my Tacoma I'm going to buy them again...
