What does one say it would rub me the wrong way .

There would be no way I could walk away leaving it in that condition till I fixed it correct or patched enough to work till the proper parts were rounded up.

    Exactly.

How in the :censored: do you leave you elderly mother without hot water in the kitchen sink...

Answer: Be a selfish, arrogant, short sighted, dullard who only thinks about and does for themselves.

It may seem that I harbor a bit of resentment toward the guy -- spot on, I do. :D

Good morning gents. Have a great weekend.

Unexpected plumbing adventure yesterday, luckily not mine. Buddy calls me, he’s at work, said his wife just called him and there is water leaking out from under the dishwasher. Wants to know if I can go by there, I say sure and head that way. Get there 15 minutes later, wife is moping the kitchen, water is coming out from under the dishwasher WHICH IS STILL RUNNING o_O she’s a blonde. I turn it off and the water flow doesn’t slow down, go under the sink and turn off the supply, valve doesn’t shut it off completely (of course). Sink supply valve doesn’t turn off completely either :annoyed: Shut down the water at the meter, that does work at least. Start investigating the dishwasher. Where the water supply line threads onto the pump, it’s cracked 3/4 of the way around. Wife said she had noticed water in front of the dishwasher the past few days but just mopped it up, said it was worse today- no kidding

New ball valves are now installed on the hot, cold and DW waterlines under the sink.

Dishwasher repair or replacement is on my buddy, since it’s about 20 years old I would go with a new one but he’s a cheapskate.

    Speculation on my part here,

There’s really not much to a cell phone other than the battery and it really doesn’t have any mass. He was probably shooting “green tip” mil surplus rounds which have a steel penetrator core so it just zipped right through. Even if it was just full metal jacket over a lead core the round is going fast enough to be completely through the phone before it upsets and starts to yaw so just 5.56mm holes through and through.

A co-workers blonde wife didn't bother swerving for an object in the road -- it seemed reasonable to her to straddle it -- with her Grand Am...

Well, the object was roughly the size of a microwave oven.

Big crash, big cloud and a butt ton of dash lights came on, she figured it was ok to continue on as work was only about 10 miles further.

She took out the AC condenser, radiator, engine oil pan and fortunately the transmission pan.

When the car quit moving she decided something might be wrong and shut it off. $125 tow bill and about $1000 to replace the broken stuff - back on the road.

She was dumb as a stump, he married her for the measurements not her IQ...

    Epilogue:
She did have a good job at the courthouse - good pay, great benefits and almost untouchable for lay offs, she worked hard at looking good too.

She gave it up to go work with her sister in a trailer office for a construction supply firm -- three years and 75 pounds later she was still dumb and now also... :puke:

Apparently there is no water flow, just a tiny trickle.
It would be a 370 mile round trip for me to go look at it. :annoyed:

My buddies wife sounds like a close second to her. At least she still has a good paying job and her looks…

That was a couple of years ago, but I think the exits were fairly clean too.

I shoot a 75gr boattail hollow point, but you're right, there's not enough mass to get the bullet to expand much before it's out the other side.
