I get messages like this way too often. I've had people ask me to send them my dxf files lol.

Unless I spend quite a bit of time for something unique, I just put my stuff in a cloud and share as needed.

It's one of two products I sell to a very niche market. Not really up for giving it away lol

    This^

A brake just takes up too much space for how little I need one.

My metal supplier has a brake. If I need something bent, I just toss them a $20.

Usually I just do relief cuts and bend by hand.

Once you have a plasma table, adding relief cuts is in easy.

If I need the full integraty, I'll weld the relief cuts closed after bending.

What file type is it? You should be able to save a copy in a Microsoft format like .docx

I was going to research it later when I got a block of time.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

@Kwikvette have you seen the video of the guy that attached a sharpie to his plasma cutting head to draw bend lines on his parts? So damn smart. Comes off the table with a line... you just line it up in the press brake and bend. no measuring. With cnc plasmas becoming so affordable, I think someone has to start making a more affordable finger-style press brake. Even free CAD can bang out a flat pattern so quickly, that combo of tools would make sheet metal fab so much easier.

I too like the unit from swag, but I think it leaves a little to be desired. Accepting standard press-brake tooling would be one big improvement. I have been bugging the guys at Ameribrade to make something like this and they weren't discouraging! Maybe they'll do it if enough folks bug 'em! Lol.

I don't know if you're aware, but there's a tool others have been using with their cnc setup that scribes into their metal.

One person uses it as a "pattern" to trace over to do TIG artwork, another uses it as a means of inscribing intricate details on an already cut piece.

I think I've seen the sharpie method (on a forum somewhere mentioned) and I think that's badass. A lot of us just aren't utilizing our tools fully...I know I'm not since I'm still learning.

You're right about knocking out a kit via cnc though.

There is a guy selling a DXF and plans kit on Etsy, but it's for a LARGE press.

And seeing SWAG offroads DIY kit makes me wonder why no one else has offered said files on their own.

I can wait; I'll rely on relief cuts for now

Pneumatic scribe is what you are looking for. You will need to program in the tool offset or manually offset, but they work well. Use ear plugs. Thin material will vibrate around, so you need to clamp it down or tack it down on the table.

Ill have to look at the PN that I have on my machines when I am back, but its similar to this:

Chicago Pneumatic CP9361 Industrial Air Scribe Engraving Pen and Precision Chisel Hammer with Hose https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003V4AZWU

I've been using this site for inspiration and DFX files.

I pay the $20/yr. Seems a small price to pay for all these free files.

Be prepared for a long sit looking at all the files. It will take you days to get thru them all.

    That's really cool!

Thanks for the tip on ear plugs; definitely need to add more to my PPE.

They are loud, especially when the sheet starts to reverberate, but worth it. I have one on both current machines and i put one on the newest machine I bought last year .... and am still waiting on 8 months later (supply chain issue, not manufacturer issue).

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Ear plugs are a given I buy them by the box.

With ear plugs I can focus much better on my welding with the Arc noise muted .

Plus any use of the grinders.
