That looks like a blast! I see in your profile, that is an SR5. So no rear locker? Any trouble at all in the deeper stuff? I’ve done plenty of deep snow driving in other trucks, and did snow removal for a lot of years, so been in some deep deep snow, but not in our Tacoma yet.

Not a ton of deep snow, but i’ll quote Bob Seger’s Travelin Man, and say, “Those are the memories, that make me a wealthy soul”.

No real trouble yet, although that snow was pretty light. Gonna get some heavier stuff here over the next couple days so I'll get to really test it out.

Woolwax or fluidflim. I get sprayed every fall and it works great. If you are in the upstate area PM me and I’ll give you the contact I have to get sprayed, he charged me me $180.

How do you like woolwax? I have been using Rust check for my previous car and now this truck. I never had an issue with rust on my car but with this truck being a longer term investment I would like to make sure I do everything I can to protect it while still using it.

Been using it for 3 years now, frame is rust free and woolwax lasts the whole season for me. The only spots that aren't good are the ones I rub on rocks :anonymous:

    Hello

Can anyone help me with a place to camp next week with my RTT next week in the vicinity of Albany. My kid has a lacrosse game and I am going to camp out the night before.

    Thanks

I was here over the summer. They have camping plots for vehicles. I set up a bed tent for 3 days. It was $18 per night with bath house and running water. Short hike to a beautiful, isolated pond (rock pond). It’s just under 2 hours from Albany. I’m not sure of their winter scheduling and I’m sure you can find something closer. At least you’ll know for future reference if anything.

Another thumbs up for woolwax. Although I might give the new Blaster formula a try next season. It’s supposed to be thinner, less messy and lasts 2 years.

I saw that come up too, the idea that it will last two years is also pretty appealing.

Has anyone else gotten out to do a little camping with the early nice weather days? Got out to the Stillwater Reservoir this week, just a quick overnight and it rained a little, but still a good time.
