Wanting to have BLHM done to my 2013 Tacoma. Not interested in doing it myself.

Current headlights have the infamous cloudiness/film/cancer. Can this be fixed or should I start with a new set of OEM headlights? Thanks!

    Want headlights like these…

Depends how bad they are. Post a pic of their condition. Most can easily be reconditioned and then apply a quality uv coating annually to prevent reoccurring oxidation.

For reference I used the cerakote kit on mine last spring.

The results look great. Can you elaborate on the products and tools used? If I can’t find someone here that offers a BLHM service, I may try my hand at just resorting my current headlights, or buy a set of TRD Pro headlights that the other gentleman posted.

Any detailing shop can clean your headlights for you... the one in my town did my 2007 Tacoma.

If you want black housing like the picture you posted in OP... then some TW members can do that for you.

You may be lucky if you find them on ebay or Amazon if someone sells them on there.

As long as they are OEM Toyota headlights I will consider them. I’ve searched the forum for BHLM services and have been unsuccessful in finding viable results.

I understand... they can be sold very fast.

Try to go to any truck meet somewhere and ask around. Or car meet which there are many talented people modifying the vehicles these days.

Maybe your hometown have car/truck show every year, in that case, go there and meet people who do the headlights services.

If you can't find OEM headlights, then get them at junkyard and clean them up and paint or change lights as the way you like.

I used this kit. Available at Walmart, Amazon and the likes.

    https://www.amazon.com/CERAKOTE-Ceramic-Headlight-Restoration-Kit/dp/B084RQKLV8

The kit came with everything needed to do the restoration and comes with a ceramic uv protectant to apply after the restoration is complete. The directions were simple and straightforward. I didn’t use any extra tools, drill, etc. I did everything by hand. The only thing you’ll need to buy that is not included in the kit is tape. You’ll want this to protect the surrounding paint surfaces. The kit claims lifetime results but I call horseshit on that. Use the kit and buy a quality uv protectant and apply it annually to prevent oxidation from reoccurring in the future. I wax my truck twice a year so I’ll start applying the uv protectant every spring when I wax. This will get you buy until you decide what your next move is.

As for the BLHM. There are sets that pop up occasionally. Keep an eye on the b/s/t thread. Realistically you’re probably better off buying the smoked Trd options already mentioned. Id guess buying used BLHM lights is going to cost roughly the same as buying a new set of the smoked lights and I’d rather have new than used if I’m spending roughly the same amount. That is unless you can find someone who is selling a set for cheap or can find a local member or shop to help you out for cheap. Remember selling your current lights after you buy a new set will certainly offset the price.
