Ok that's what I was looking for!
Just my case broke (two actually), the FOB works just fine. Though for that price I'd probably sooner buy a universal one like you said.

That’s what I’m talking about! It never fucking ends!

At this point, I pretty much live vicariously through @Yota X ’s build. Evan just straight gets shit done. It’s impressive. And I basically want to be @malburg114 when I grow up. Life goals, for sure

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Oh yeah Coastal is totally legit, talked to them once or twice cause my front bumper was a special order item

And yeah I got the cnc setup but that means -> cardboard -> computer -> cnc -> finished piece which will take me longer

Sure I can skip the cardboard, but I need it to figure out dimensions correctly using a "model" piece due to the rounded ends on the frame and hole placement. Easier to just trace that cardboard onto metal after I get dimensions.

That and I need to go buy more steel. @eon_blue has happily offered his truck for the endeavor but the Land Cruiser might actually be a better fit for that still.

I remember you talking about a home office build; work from home sort of thing? Or is it a multipurpose gaming setup cause in reality you're a gamer geek and have this badass racing or flight simulator with the 3 axis seat and realistic controls sort of thing?

I get sneak peeks sometimes as Evan will shoot me a pic, then post it later :D

His truck came alive recently so...that means he's done with it right?

Time to sell it and start on a new proiect :burp:

What did you do to your brake lines? They're really hard to overstretch on an 80 without longer coils

    Oh they're still attached

But when I installed the suspension, the wheels were on the ground while trying to lift/lower it with the use of jacks and jackstands and the brake lines were literally getting pulled.

The shocks easily provide more travel than the brake lines can handle; they're my limit straps atm :anonymous:

We run the same coils, but different shocks.

Even my shocks extend enough to cause the coils to "float".

At least they're like 10mins per side to change. The shop that baselined my cruiser after the auction actually put some stoptech steel braided ones on, they're a pretty good value

Went to a neighborhood breakfast place, spotted this modified tea brewing machine. Want extra capacity... Have Matt lay some fine dimes.

Haha, nope, my gaming and PC rig building days are a good 15 years behind me. I’ll probably get another Xbox out there, though.

It’s just a tiny little home office off the back of my little shop. Combo WFH setup, man cave, home studio (wanna get back to playing guitar again, but actually take it seriously this time), and general Fortress of Solitude. Our house fucking rocks, but it’s a 70s split-level, so you hear the boy gaming with his Xbox live buddies, the teenage girl listening to horrible new ‘rap’ music that makes me want to punch nuns, and the dog barking at basically everything. I need a place to get chilled out.

I still have a stack of at least eight sheets of 5/8 drywall that’s leaning up against my parts rack that also has my recovery gear. It’s not ideal, and I just need to finish shit and move on.

Ok first order placed for the T4R, new antennae, lift gate struts and cupholders since those lame dash ones are broken. You don't really know how important cup holders really are until you realize you don't have any lol.

I've had the Stoptech steel braided lines on the Taco up front for years, they're quality

With teenage kids I bet, little peace and quiet to yourself is definitely needed.

And I get you on the whole barking thing

Bronx barks loud as hell, but only if A. The doorbell is rung or B. Someone comes to our house.

Sounds mean and has that "angry look" but he's really barking so you can acknowledge him otherwise he'll keep going

Biscuit on the otherhand, kind of new to me because at the beginning she'd run up to everyone that shows up.

Now, she jumps on the couch and barks from afar. That or she'll run underneath me while keeping distance from said guest :bananadead:

That's badass though seems like you got it all thought out. Maybe taking half an hour to lay out your plan could help get you motivated as it's what I'll do.

If drywall needs to go up but recovery stuff and tools are in the way maybe its the anxiety of the "many things" you have to do at once? I definitely get that.

I'd tell myself "ok 1 hour to move and put all tools away, maybe organize recovery gear, etc" and now you got 1 small victory and it means the drywall is free now.

I always laugh when the neighbors dog wanders into the yard to look at my fish. Hes a big mastiff but he's a baby, he will be totally enamored with the fish and then I'll come out and he will stare with his mouth open like he's gonna bark but all you get is a tiny little "huff" noise.

Jesus Christ in all the time I've wasted trying to depin this low range elocker harness I could have just cut and crimped everything together. Bought the fancy depin tool set, unlocked the connector lock, aaaaand nothing. While applying the depin tool and pulling with some baby needle nose I can't get the pins to budge. WTF. Before i fucked with it the connectors were visibly ovaled so it's no wonder the wires are pulling out.

The joys of owning an old Land Cruiser. They are tough and cool but man, you really have to be into it.

Good kit, I've used the same one at my buddy's shop a few times so I already knew it'd be sufficient when I picked one up :D

Dogs just have the most unique personalities

If we're on the couch, Biscuit will invade your personal space and literally want to snoop at your phone

It doesn't help that she loves watching TV so sometimes I've played videos of birds or squirrels on my phone for her

Now, she actively comes up to us to play videos for her

It's just part of owning anything old that can last a long time being neglected. Plenty of other things die young enough that they never even get a chance to be neglected.
