So, can you plug in a thumbdrive into that and listen to mp3 files? Or, is that primarily for charging?

My Alpine stereo has 2 USB inputs. One is 1.5A and the other is 2.4A. They both charge and can read USB media (audio or video). I used a converter to wire the 1.5A cable to the existing Toyota USB port. The 2.4A cable is the one to use for Android Auto or CarPlay. I haven't been using it though as my phone connects wirelessly as soon as I turn on the ignition. I tested out the HDMI port today. It works well, I can watch video on the Alpine display.

Badass man! Nice work. Yeah it definitely was a decent amount of work but went fairly smoothly so I was stoked on that!

Did this. I appreciate cheap DIY mods.

Might use the rest of the material to try and block off water getting to the headlights

20230128_133453[1].jpg Finally managed to "carefully pry in these spots, and 'use a bunch of screwdrivers' to remove the clock/hazard flasher switch module" yesterday after three days of trials. A little trimming of molding flash at the edges of the switch opening in the new Metra panel worked out as it snapped into place. With single digit temps, the electric heater struggles in the 8-bay condo garage, so next thing is to install the prewired Crux SWRTY-61S harness into Barcelona Red first, then into the Sony ("the one and only") MEX-N5300BT single DIN radio, test things and button up the dash. Then I'll think about replacing the front door speakers with the pair of Harman Infinity 6x9s. Crutchfield's been great, with about the same prices as Best By, and without BB's installer advice to go to Home Depot for hardware to DIY install their speakers. (Our local Aspen Sound gave me eight truss head screws at no charge when I asked about where to find those. They'll have my future business!)
After that project, I have (hoping for warmer weather) dropping the powder coated aluminum IFS front skid plate to install the Street Exhaust Header from L.C. Engineering, before the trip for an annual check-up on the NHOU frame treatment.
We're looking forward to warming above single digits later this week... Cold and dry is OK, though. Better than 25 with 100% humidity (ice fog)...

Project Bluer Balls is coming along quite nicely. Disregard the lumps in the front fender and bumper area. That whole section will be covered up by the pocket flares.

Spent some time with my son on routine maintenance this weekend.
    -Engine oil & filter
    -Clean and re-oil K&N filter
-Rear differential fluid change, first time ever at 70K, used Royal Purple (so easy, will keep this on schedule from now on)
-Spark plugs (also first time, also easy enough)
    -Cleaned the engine bay :)

Maybe it's confirmation bias, or relief that I didn't screw anything up, but I could *swear* it runs and drives smoother than before.

Also recently I did the extra weather stripping to eliminate the howling wind noise. Haven't been at 80+ in high winds yet, but so far it hasn't been back. Fingers crossed!

And got a new battery recently. Maybe just a coincidence that it died after the boy (he's a man really, in the USMC!) drove it last. It did sit outside in the "cold", low 40s, a couple of nights... But the old battery was from Sept 2017 so I can't complain. Probably better I got it replaced before any real winter weather sets in.

I did have a slight leak actually but it wasn’t drastic and was still able to hold 10-15psi while I was working on a certain wheel. You can probably remedy this by gluing the pvc together better than I did to be honest.

And I believe they are the sizes you mentioned, not entirely sure since I found all the parts around my garage and put it together lol.

Made a seat delete yesterday for Jasmine. The RTT was just getting too cramped for all of us to sleep up there. Turned out good I’d say!

I bought the truck almost 2 years ago from my buddy who bought it with 40k miles. Its never gave a second of trouble so why fix what isn't broke?

Its all factory besides the starter, brakes, coil overs, u joints and a few front wheel bearings.
