It’s unfortunate when it happens but also a badge of honor I guess! It’s always rough putting that first mark on a truck.

Home Depot has the exact item also. I've got about 10 pieces of this material in my garage now it's great for projects everything this guy said about a good cut covered sharp edges ease of cutting it with tin snips he's right on.

Not worried. Pretty sure I can remove the interior panel and pop it out. It's not creased. Serves me right for charging into a mud track. I should have left the branch in it for the picture. Lol

Installed a dash mounted cell phone holder today. Wasn't quite sure whether I'd like it or not but so far, I do like where it is and how easy it is to get to the phone. :)

Ya my passenger outer, I have some small cracking on my inner on my driver side. Probably will do that next, the job isn't as difficult as many people make it out to be. Def not worth the $490 labor charge the dealer wanted.

Finished my RCI slider install, and washed it.

And finally relocated brake cable on the side which needed a drill and tap for the guide bolt. Luckily my tap and die set had the exact tap for the existing bolt. Haha a buddy of mine gave me this set years ago and it's not used much as you can imagine.

Excellent, sounds like you caught it before an explosion of grease was everywhere. EF yeah not worth 490. I'll be doing mine too when the day comes, so far my boots look really good, 3 years on this truck...

Yeah mine was from a branch I didn’t see and it broke and slammed into my passenger door. Like yours I can probably push it out from the inside.

Has any one seen or have a front bumper like this? Trying to get a full front view of it.

Well, essentially for now, finished the add ons list. I’m over budget , and would have like to have lifted a tad, but it’s got the things I had on a list for all the specific exploring and recovery possibilities I may run across.
Then took it out into some of the forest roads in the Columba gorge with the kids

Got the truck all loaded up and ready to play pit truck at king of the hammers, never have been so organized but got every tool/fluid as organized, accessible, and secured as I could. Also wheeling a bit, so crammed 3 spare cv's, steering rack, and spare driveline to get me home. Cheers to 2 weeks in the desert!

Have fun ! Also great idea on the gear bags . I’ve seen so many people ditch the bags and such at work … I may need to snag some next time as those are super tough bags

I've always had everything kinda loosely packed in my toolbox, but this made it that much nicer feeling. Bag for "consumables" with zip ties, tape, anything else that would get used up, bag for electric tools, bag for fluids, bag for spare misc parts for my truck (belt, toyota nuts and bolts, u joints, rad hose repair kit, and tool roll for all the tools. Should work pretty well

No; there is no wireless CarPlay in the truck. I got a wireless CarPlay adaptor but I'm not convinced it's worth it. It takes a few seconds to boot up and if I'm using bluetooth for something other than a CarPlay app something gets confused (could be the adaptor, could be me). Since the Qi charger is pretty useless also, I just keep a lightning cable handy. I did get a right angle USB adaptor to direct the cable to the left (so is it a left -right-angle adaptor :) ) and keep it out of my cup holders.

That’s so cool! Hope to see many sweet rigs up there. It’s about an hour and 20 from me. Probably heading out there for the last week.

I’ll look into doing this . I have a double size leitner gear pod and if I can find a bag that fit Wellthat’s be perfect
Here’s hoping you don’t have to use any spare parts on your trip

That's impressive mileage on the original tires! I wasn't sure how they would do on slick roads but so far have done good for me. For an all-around tire, those Duratracs will treat you well in snow, dirt, and gravel (I have them on my 4Runner and like them a lot). Just watch the ice.

This changeover with that adaptor has caught my attention. I want more light, but not at the expense of other drivers. Any thoughts on how it looks 'from the other side'?
