Thanks, I'll go for the replacement part. I'm going to order the Amazon breaker you suggested. This is the one that came with the Auxbeam AR-800 kit.

My RSI cap should be here in the next month or so and now is the time to start figuring out how I want to layout all the doodads.

    3DABA66A-531A-4555-8D1E-6D4C835CFB5D.jpg 547E7F93-A15A-40C2-ACF3-3713C7092F88.jpg 62EFB915-B611-4E0F-BF48-8DC07E6354A7.jpg

I’ll have 4 cigar plugs added as well, but those will be able to be wired directly to the fuse block (one always on, one on the timed circuit, two on the ignition circuit)

so now it’s just a matter of making the decision on where to put everything, then mounting it all, changing my mind a few times, then wiring it all up and regretting not leaving it in the original layout.

the one that says Whelen on it is a brain that I use for my remote spotlight (Arges II)

the red one and the other box that says Feneix on it are a siren and siren controller (StormPro 100 and 4200 Datalink)

the boxes that look like they are fuse blocks are a PDM-14 from Egis an added fuse block for extras. Has voltage sense, three zones that are programable, and low voltage cutoff.
    https://www.egismobile.com/shop/2602b-pdm-14-circuit-ground-175-a-12-v-5499#attr=

a USB hub for added power ports, and 5 relays so that I can run higher draws off of the siren controller without taxing its circuits.

I know Whelen products when I see 'em :) What's your plans with the Arges and the siren? Have any lights to go with those?

Had the Arges on a Quick Fit mount on my Ram 3500. I will be designing a mount for the Arges to go somewhere on the Taco, just not sure yet. I need the cap to come in and I need to get some ditch light mounts also, then I can decide on placement.

I currently have 8 FedSig Micropulse Ultra's (RAW, and AW) that will go on the truck, and a Brookings Industries traffic director with white out. Additionally, the Arges will be tied into some of the warning light functions (alley, takedown, and a few others.) I had a set of Star visor lights in the Ram as well, but I do not care to work with the turn lock visor tabs, so I will probably end up with another form of warning lights for up front and also be adding a few MPU's as well.

Nice! Sounds like it's going to be an effective setup. Used as a fire POV?

I like the idea of a timed circuit. Where did find it?

One of the threads on here deals with adding heated side mirrors. They use a solid state timed relay that can be set for a range of either off or on time delays. I can’t remember offhand what the current limit is but a higher one could be achieved using the timer relay to control whatever size power relay you need.

I use Egis products any time possible.

Amazing customer service, veteran owned company, they build as much as possible here in the USA, and they make quality products.

    https://www.egismobile.com/

the power distribution module that I use of theirs is here:

    https://www.egismobile.com/shop/2601b-pdm-14-circuit-ground-175-a-12-v-w-kill-switch-5498#attr=

three zones that can be programmed to ignition, timed, or constant, while also monitoring battery voltage and providing a cutoff at a set voltage. It also has the ability to turn on and off with either a ignition input, or via voltage sense.

I also have a automatic charge relay that is going to be installed as well. It will feed a secondary battery that will be in the bed of the truck. The secondary battery will run all of the extra stuff.

    it can be found here:

Where's the best source for custom length cables? Make your own or? I've got everything mounted up, but the included cables with the Auxbeam AR800 and the custom 3d printed mount are a mix of too long, too short and wrong terminal eye size. :bananadead:

If you haven’t checked out Tacozord’s thread on how to diy a Bussman panel you definitely should. It’s just about the most comprehensive thread I could imagine. I ordered some red & black #4 and crimped my own since I figured the crimper would be(and has been)used for other cables as well. Some guys just buy custom cables if they figure they won’t ever use it again. You could also see if there’s anyone in your area with one. Here’s the thread. Post #3

This is a general wiring question, but I haven’t found a good answer yet. What is the correct way to pigtail into a waterproof relay when all of the wire gauges are different?

Specifically, I’d like to replace my ARB compressor relay (4-pin 12V/40A) with a waterproof version. It looks like it uses 10awg power wires, and very small (20-22?) switch wires. All of the aftermarket waterproof versions come with 12awg and 16awg pigtails. This is the only accessory with a relay I have right now.
