Is that "N" for National? Those SoMo trails are rad!!

Lived in PHX for two years, winters were so much fun, but those 4 months straight of 105* aren't worth a winter tradeoff... So far Albuquerque is a pretty good middle ground. (52* today. Made for a glorious ride)

Good eye! It is national indeed! Didn't do the waterfall even though I saw the line. I didn't feel in biking from so I took it easy. Blasted through everything else. It's a good pedal!

Yeah, the summers would be brutal. I'm still not likely to move away from Utah. Riding is amazing. Not snow and dirt. Hah! If anything, i can always ride down south during the winter.

Got a good friend in ABQ who loves the weather. Smaller city though.

good morning all! I am getting my old MTB out and brought back to life. Trying to find a reasonably secure and stable minimalist single mount for in side the bed. Anyone have suggestions, or things to absolutely avoid? I have seen a few that mount to a Bed track, but there seems to be some question regarding the fit of the Header section. My Taco came with the side rails, but not the header. the available Toyota parts I have seen say they fit G2 models, but not G3. Seems odd. Is there a diff between the G2 and G3 header rails?

No difference that I am aware of. You should be able to buy the G2 header rail and bolt it in.

    A few.
My ‘20 didn’t have a header rail, but after some searching herE on TW I purchased this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DWVN9CK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V1PD7P7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. It fits the stock holes/fasteners like it was meant to be. As for attaching a mount to the header bar this might help https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07739WXJB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details.

thats what I would have thought. I am blown away at the prices they are asking. I found one at a semi reasonable price, but some of these are at 100$ Good grief!

    A few.
I’ve always used RockyMounts with no problems. This would be the most cost effective for the headers mount https://rockymounts.com/products/hotrod.html.

Yup. The price they want is the only reason I have yet to buy one. Could be worth looking at salvage yards.

I looked at the Rocky Mounts, and Yakima, Thule,etc.... I would prefer something keyed, I have no delusions of Bike Lock "Security" but sometimes making a thief second guess is good enough.
Maybe I should mention that the bike is OLD. ProFlex 657... :) no through axle

I have a Yakima Locking Blockhead you are welcome to. Works with QR and if you do a Google search you are able to see how some have mounted them to the rails. I purchased for a completely different application but never ended up using it. Still new in the box. Cover shipping and it's yours.

Some vendors are persona non grata on TW, and links to their stuff gets that star treatment. Buyer beware.
