One of the challenges of getting older is you remember how much things used to cost.
I think I paid $75 for a Sears battery with the remote control kill switch. Was spendy, but I liked the extra security while working in NY across from a highway entrance ramp. So long ago.

I'd rather have cold this time of year. Nothing dries out so yards are mud. Would be better off if the ground was frozen, especially with dogs.

I don’t mind the cold. I just hate ice and snow. It makes work a nightmare, however I wouldn’t mind if it got cold so the ponds freeze over and I could get out there for some pond hockey

I seriously doubt we have a frost line this year. Least not around the house.

It has, though part of it for me is it's such an infrequent purchase that I always think that.

I worked for a battery distributor. Before AGM came along. Back then all batteries were made the same. ( they still are btw). the difference was the number of plates and surface area per cell. A blemished battery would top out at 30 bucks tops. That same blemished battery? Over 50 bucks easy these days. What really takes the cake is marina batteries and the markup for them. Holy crap!! Same damn battery but 3x more than what they should go for all for a few lead wing nut leads.

Always ran dual battery setups in my boats and usually ran regular Interstates for batteries. Did what I had to do make the terminals work and never had an issue.
Yep, as soon as the product says "Marine", price goes way up. :spending:

When you do get one keep an eye on the tapered bolts. They like to back out. I did a 3 second hold on mine. Torque and hold the pressure on the bolt for 3 seconds. Supposed to keep them snug.

About the same effort wise, 1099 for pensions instead of W2 for wages. Everything else is like it always was. I use an online tax thing and file electronically
