I'm at 150 miles or so between the KLX and Victory.. was too cold about half the days this month but the other half was great riding.

You live in Florida, too cold? what did it drop below 60 or something?:sadviolin:

News this morning said this is the 3rd warmest January on record with an average temp of 39.7 degrees. I'll ride just as long as the roads are clear of snow and salt so the temp really isn't a big factor for me. That said this year has been unusually mild and made it easy to go riding for me. I rode in to work this morning. So far this month I've ridden 17 out of 30 days. Forecast for the rest of the week not looking too favorable though.

Below 50 quite a while this month! That's about my cutoff just because I don't have any good gear for riding when it's colder than that.

50 is the lowest my g/f will ride along. Seems like that number is inching up though.

Good gear that will last is an investment for sure. You're still young and with other priorities I'm sure. I didn't get heated stuff until I was over 50 years old so you've got time.

I drove in this morning, it was clear and sunny and a whopping 7 degrees. Ugh.

It's so rarely cold here it's not really something I see much use in. I've got great gear, it's just not super warm stuff.

We have some FJR owner friends in Florida that we meet up with at least once a year at a forum event. Usually in mid-late September in WV, RM, or NC. It's always kind of amusing to see the FL people bundled up wearing everything they packed when it drops to 50 overnight or early morning while the Canadians are still wearing shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops.

Fender is eliminated - that thing was ridiculously huge. Nice kit made by R&G, came with a new taillight and everything needed.

Thanks and yeah they’re an eye sore too. They do work well and make a nice helmet holder but will switch them out eventually
