    - Will Crank, No Start, No Fuel, Won't come out of Park, NO OBD.
I also tried the two ECM reset methods (battery volt drain and jumping pins 4 & 13)

Hello and thank in advance for any help anyone can provide. This truck has a little over 30,000 miles on it and was warrantied for 7 years / 100,000 miles and wouldn't you know it, it was denied work because I was three months over the 7-year period.

So here is what happened and what has been done, so far.
I literally pulled up in front of the house one afternoon (about a month ago) and went back to start the truck about an hour later and....cranked it over and no fire.
I could tell there was no fuel going to it as well (average+ motor guy) and I did not over crank it. I gave it a minute and same. It turned over with compression, but I pretty much could tell that there was no fuel and probably no spark as well. I pulled a fuel line and indeed, no fuel was flowing when I cranked it...at the time, I did not check the plugs for spark because...

...I noticed another interesting thing that I assuming was a factor correlating with things was that fact that the shifter would not come out of Park when my foot was on the brake pedal. Weird. I was going to put it in Neutral and try and start it, but it was stuck. Even when I depressed the safety release button on the automatic transmission's shifter and put the sifter into the Neutral position...it would crank, still no start.

So I put a cheap Ancel AD310 code reader on it, but the code reader said the truck must be on (or the key in the accessory position) to work. The OBD would start to read and then quit about 50% through the reading with that message. So I thought maybe the OBD was not recognizing the Ignition Switch located on the steering column and that switch might be causing the entire situation. I probed a few wires with a power light / fuse tester and saw that the ST1 and ST 2 wires were NOT HOT with the key in the accessory position or hot when I was cranking the engine.

So with those two factors in mind, I replaced the Ignition Switch (the round plastic unit on the steering column with (I forget exactly the 12 or so wires coming out of it. Similar to the OBD wires. Anyway, before I put the new switch on, I disassembled my old switch which was not meant to come apart. Little springs flew everywhere and three round copper O-shaped plates went flying as well. Once I got the plates back into place, I noticed that the ST1 & ST2 positions and the contacts on the plates meant to touch each other while on that position that would power ST1 & ST2 were GUNKED with black grease, like die-electricl grease from the factory, but way too much. Bottom line, there was no way electricity was flowing through those plates to the ST1 & ST2 wires when they were lined up in that position.

I also replaced the plunger type sensor at the brake pedal location that tells the truck / computer / lights that the brake pedal is on. I thought I nailed the problem. But nope, same thing after I replaced those two sensors / switches and I even tossed a new battery in there.

From there, I checked all electrical lines, fuses, relays and I also opened up and cleaned the very dirty center shift assembly area, trying to make sure when the truck was in Park or neutral, the truck knew it was there. I certainly did not wan't 46 layers of spilled McDonald's coffee with triple sugar and hardened cream between the shift lever its resting location when in Park.

So now, I am working my way to the back BUT, I have not probed the ECM, nor the fuel pump directly. I don't know what I am doing yet on the ECM and before I jump to the fuel pump, I assume it's not getting power already, because of a number of factors (like the computer not telling it to have power). Same thing as the truck no coming out of Park, and the OBD saying to turn the truck on. The last thing that would be allowed to have power and function would be the fuel pump, for safety reasons alone.

So I am looking at the Safety Neutral Switch to test next. I probably need to revisit how to probe and test the ECM (the brain) again before I move on, but I'm trying to learn how do do the next steps and prioritize them as I can. My tools are limited and without any expert knowledge and without a bi-directional scanner in place and working (or blinking codes), it is
If there is anyone who thinks they can help, it would be most awesome. Because my budget is limited, I can't just toss parts into without a better understanding and diagnosing what the heck is telling the ECM to not allow the pertinent parts to function to start the truck.

Testing the Crank Position and Engine Speed sensors will be on the list as well as the Fuel Pump tests, but I need to learn how to test each of these first. I'm all ears to ideas and thank you again.

The horn does work and I believe (but will double verify) that I did swap its relay # 6 with Relay #15 (the Circuit Opening). I am all about this being in the Relay area and need to better test each relay with an OHM meter etc... to make sure each of the pertinent ones (I know they all should be working ideally). The pertinent ones being:
    R10 Fuel pump (1GR-FE)
    R13 Main relay (EFI)
    R6 Circuit Opening

    Fuses (Under hood)
4 STOP 10 Stop lights, high mounted stop light, vehicle stability control system, anti-lock brake system, shift lock system, multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel injection system, towing converter
    5 OBD 7.5 2005-2011: On-board diagnosis system
7 EFI NO.2 or EFI 10 Multiport fuel injection sy
    9 OBD 7.5 2012-2015: On-board diagnosis system
19 ETCS 10 Multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel injection system, electronic throttle control system
21 EFI or EFI-MAIN 20 Multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel injection system
28 STA 7.5 Starting system, multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel injection system, meter and gauge, clutch start cancel switch
    31 AM1 50 "ACC", "IG1", "TGI NO.2", "WIP", "WSH", "4WD", "STA", "BKUP LP" fuses
34 AM2 30 "IGN", "GAUGE" fuses, multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel injection system
35 AIR PMP 50 Multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel injection system

IN QUESTION ARE THE FOLLOWING BECAUSE I ONLY HAD THE #38 BOLT-IN IN PLACE ( INV 100 ) AND EVERYTHING WAS WORKING...BUT I HAVE NOT PROBED IT FOR ACTUAL POWER AT THIS POINT AND I DID TRY PULLING IT OUT TO REPLACE IT, BUT THEN REALIZED IT WAS BOLTED IN AND I AM WONDERING IF I DAMAGED IT? TO TEST IT, AM I LOOKING FOR POWER AT ONE OF ITS LOCATIONS WITH THE KEY ON OR OFF OR HOW WOULD IT IDEALLY BE CHECKED? i AM WANTING TO SEE 339 IN THERE AS WELL AS I DO HAVE A TOW PACKAGE BUT I BELIEVE IT WAS INSTALLED AFTER I GOT THE TRUCK...AND #38 WAS ONLY USED?? AGAIN, IT WOULD BE A BLESSING TO STAY UNDER THE HOOD IN THE FUSE AND RELAY LOCATIONS!!
    38 INV 100 2013-2015: Power outlets
39 ALT 120 without towing package: "AM1", "AC SKT", "HEATER", "FR FOG", "STOP", "OBD", "J/B", 'TOWING TAIL", "TOWING BRK", "BATT CHG" fuses
39 ALT 140 with towing package: "AM1", "AC SKT", "HEATER", "FR FOG", "STOP", "OBD", "J/B", "TOWING TAIL", "TOWING BRK", "BATT CHG" fuses

    38 INV 100 2013-2015: Power outlets

39 ALT 140 with towing package: "AM1", "AC SKT", "HEATER", "FR FOG", "STOP", "OBD", "J/B", "TOWING TAIL", "TOWING BRK", "BATT CHG" fuses

IN THE INTERIOR / FUSE BOX, I VISUALLY CHECKED ALL THE FUSES AND TOOK THEM OUT, REPLACED ANYTHING WITH THE SLIGHTEST CORROSION ON THE LEGS ETC.. BUT I AM ALL EARS TO THE PERTINENT ONES TO CHECK WITHER WITH THE POWER ON OR OFF PER YOUR SAY.

Thank you so much for your time.

I don’t know if yours has the immobiler, if it does you could try another key and make sure the light turns off.

There is no chip in the key but I am still thinking something in the fuse / relay area because too many things like the above thread are happening and that thread refers to a loose harness clip on the interior fuse box. So, a while back, a stereo shop stabbed a fused wire into one of the always hot blue wires going into the interior's fuse box and it eventually went to fuse #13 which is
13 D FR P/W 30 Power windows. Not sure why that would always be hot,but the wire eventually went to both cig lighters so they remained hot all the time. I noticed where he had stabbed the wire in had become loose and I removed it all together and I actually added a little solder to the section that was stabbed as it seems it lost its integrity. Don't know if the stabbed wire shorted at some point or if that blue wire's integrity is up to part (especially with all this going on). Thanks for that link. It makes me want to go revisit this area.If all looks good (including the shifter connectors which were filthy), I am hoping to reply with some good news. Otherwise?? Thanks again.

P.S. Wish I had some sort of reference sheet to know what wires should be hot, their voltage, where to test each wire (before or after the box etc..). I would love to do that thoroughly if I knew what to look for!

Spend ~$50 and get a three-year subscription to All Data D-I-Y

is the MIL on? Try a different code reader.. my $1500 Launch unit will not connect to my father's '06 Nissan under any circumstance, but all of my others will...

Once you get the All Data subscription. Start with the diagnostic procedure for the PRNDL switch; if that has failed, it could explain all your symptoms.

Have you actually verified the fuses with a multimeter yet?

If not you need to do that before you do anything else. A "Visual Check" is worthless.

Specifically these: IG1, IG1 No2, Stop and ACC.

Hmmm.. I searched for 2019, Toyota, and under Model didn’t see “Tacoma” listed.
    https://www.alldata.com/diy-us/en/find-vehicle
Update: I found it, have to select “Toyota Truck” then your specific model. But price is listed as $59.99 1 year, $129.99 3 years. Does anyone have this? Is it as good as the Toyota tech subscription?

Ouch! Apparently the price went up. I haven't compared it to the Toyota OE subscription, but I use All Data for all my vehicles and it's VERY good.

I owe everyone an update. The All Data suggestion was awesome and I am getting the subscription as I speak. I saw some examples of what they provide and that is SO what I needed to test things AND understand the wiring of the truck.

The suggestions from jimmyh to check the fuses with a multi-meter "Specifically these: IG1, IG1 No2, Stop and ACC." is most appreciated as well and will be done. Yesterday was a busy one for me and I will take today to try and work my way through the steps everyone has suggested and I'm super thankful for the input.

I'll reply with the pertinent updates to this as soon as I can. I just want the time to do it right, thus doing my part and not wasting anyone's time shortchanging the, "doing my part," part. LOL Thanks again!

    Let’s start easy.
Do you have power to the the 10A IGN, and IG1 fuses in the run position?
As well as the Stop fuse at all times?

This fuse needs power to allow you to shift out of PARK.

This will help narrow down the direct we need to go to figure this out.

Sorry to hear about your health problems.
I too was just in the ER last night with my grandfather.
He went in to AFIB, but he’s doing ok.

Anyways, let me refresh my memory and read over your original post.
Until then, let’s start with the diagrams for the fuse box I have.
I think these are labeled better, and include pinout.

    THANKS MUCH TShooter!

I test the two relays for the EFI (I believe both R6 & R10) and then if need be, the horn works, so if I find either R6 or R9 to be bad on a bench test with the OHM meter etc..), I'll try and use the horn relay to swap out (with my fingers crossed).
