Right, I've read that amazing thread on lights but have to admit it doesn't all stick in my head (and that it is 309 pages...).
Based on the bulb comparison, just swapping out the stock bulbs for a better H11 would help, and then the H9 takes it a step further. And thanks also to @musicisevil for the direct link to the post on removing the insert.

Time to go bulb shopping! (although I did that yesterday for my son's RAV4 - but I made him do the swap because it's something ya gotta know how to do!)

Today I found out the new Tacoma's have two types of cruise control settings.
Radar Controlled and Fixed Speed. So I have been dealing with the bull shit
speed adjusted radar cruise control for 7 months. :facepalm:At least now I can get
back to using my cruise and it not slamming the brakes cause some car gets in
    my lane. :burnrubber:

Yep. Did the +60 h11 swap for about 18 months before the H9. The +60 H11 was better, but the H9 swap made driving at night so much better

Made some cheap-o diy organizers out of an old tool belt, thermoplastic and Velcro. Saw the ready made ones but I didn’t want to pay $40. D598FD23-41FD-40CC-A74D-4D902AE347DC.jpg C56A2E6B-2C9C-4099-89A7-C68360A41555.jpg

Ordered the bulbs from Amazon (free shipping) no cutting required.

*I also used a harness that a buddy gave me for the bulbs.

The gauge cluster is a bit of a bitch given the curvature but also essential. Eventually all bubbles cured for me but took a few days. Shift window super easy. Worth it for clarity and peace of mind.

Looks like you used the adhesive primer (light blue tint). Smart. I didn't do that until the second attempt and now its rock solid.

If you hold the button in for a few seconds when you turn on cruise control, it will go into the traditional cruise control mode with no radar

You can't "turn it off" permanently, by long pressing the cruise control button you just access normal cruise control.
Every time you turn on cruise control it will automatically default to radar first.
And before you ask, you can't make normal cruise control the default.
Maybe if you unplug the TSS in the grill it might automatically go to normal cruise control but you will have to deal with the TSS light being always on the dash.

Also on radar cruise control you can adjust the distance the truck maintains from other cars.

The occasional annoyance of the radar warning is preferable to the one time it might be useful!
