Yeah I will go that route. I was unsure since, as you said they really get in there and engrave it. I called them today asking if I could get a blank and the guy said sure if you want to wait 10 years for us to make another batch. ha. I was a bit worried if sanding it down would cause any issues with removing random material but seems like its been ok. be

Are all smooth-flow pulleys silver? I may consider doing that too. My reg expires (already paid) in a day or two so does not matter at this point. I will need to go through extra steps with DMV.

This is the route I recommend to Robert because it's cheap and mostly free and beats having to wait for shipping and paying for a whole new pulley.

If you can't do it @nudavinci64 I could probably do it for you and then paint it a nice black color just like it should be.

Yeah, this is the direction I am going to go. Seems easy enough. I have a Dremel and should have some sanding bits. Also may have an engraver to stamp some original identification bits on it but I think that is not fully needed. I was thinking the same sand it down and give it a spray of satin black or something similar. then dirty it up. my engine bay is filthy so i need to blend it in haha.

Once i pull it off if I need some help ill ping you. Seems easy enough though.

My pulleyboys one was much thicker than the smooth flow ones, and I didn’t have any issues after sanding it down. There was plenty of material left afterwards. I do believe all of the smooth flow ones are plain silver

The engraving of numbers or whatever is not necessary truthfully. I don't know what the hang up is about that but the techs don't care.

Possibly but the pulleyboys ones are pretty out there, and as you said, not to give anyone reason to question. If it was blank I would not care as much.

yah looks like polished or brushed are the options.

Well yeah that's what I'm saying. Blank is cool. All that engraving and stupidity is tacky and ads a river look to an otherwise nice setup in most boosted engine bays. I don't know why Pulleyboys would in their right mind sell it like that. Those buffoons.

Truck seems to be running well after all the bearings, tensioners, and belts. I did notice yesterday during my first drives after everything.. I've got some gnarly exhaust leaks. Checked the Remflex gaskets at the headers to Y pipe and they are shot. Are the Remflex 6006's still the go to? I only have 1 left in the garage.. was going to order another set but wanted to see what others have been doing first. They do last a decent time.. don't even remember when I replaced them last.

When I got my non-jfr exhaust done I was talking to Roostfactor about what gaskets he recommended and he said "I also use the remflex 6006 (I think) 2 1/4" gaskets for the flanges". His exact words from our emails.

    Hopefully that helps

What's a good setup to compliment a factory installed/TRD tuned s/C 4.0? Does a pulley change anything without a retune? As of now I'm going with the TRD air intake. The truck has the TRD exhaust already. Would some headers help? I just don't want it very loud. It won't be a daily though so I guess more aggression is okay

First thing you should probably do is upgrade your fuel pump. Not gonna give you any better performance but good peace of mind. A 2.85 pulley will give you a little more pep than the stock 3.0 pulley and you won’t need to retune the truck but I would highly recommend it. I ran a 2.85/afr intake, jba shorty headers and a 3” catback when I was on the trd tune.
