Oh, my bad. Maybe some other company then…?

I have Rough Country’s kit in my FJ Cruiser, it don’t need any cutting.

So I looked up Rough Country's kit specifically for the FJC, and I now see the FJC front kit is designed different than the Tacoma front kit (I guess I too thought they were at least similar).
The FJC frame must be different enough to allow no cutting, though I can't make out exactly what it is different in the photos (I can see for certain the mounting of the diff housing to the crossmembers is different, and they use a new rear diff mount whereas the Tacoma kit reuses the OEM piece).

The OP however does not show an FJC in his profile, he shows a Tacoma... So looks like he has to cut if he wants more than 2" lift without risking shortening the life of frontend components.
Again, save the piece that was cut. It's not the big deal so many make it out to be to weld it back in and return the truck back to stock to sell, put a different kit on, whatever. Only thing is make sure your guy doing the welding (if you don't do it yourself) is competent.

That's messed up! I hadn't heard anyone complain of that before... I wonder if the guy had a newly-hired schmoe doing the inspection who didn't know what they were looking at (RC and others all provide a replacement crossmember that goes underneath the cut one).
