Installed today. Easy enough. May add some washers to the driver side. Seems to be touching the cat.

This shield piece had me confused for a second, but I was able to finagle it around to line it up.

Order placed 12/19 thru Tacoma Lifestyle, just got tracking notification, expecting it by the end of the week.

If the rubbing on the shield is too bad, I'll probably take a sledge and make some more room, try to bow it out a little bit.

Just pulled the trigger today. I'll post back when I get my shipping confirmation. I'm hoping it's not going to take over a month (or more).

Any rattling when driving? I'm really wanting to get these but a rattling noise would drive me nuts.

I figure it's just a supply / manufacture issue...too many trucks and not enough makers! Just for reference, I ordered a CAT shield for my 22 Tundra at the end of June '22 and it still had not shipped by the 1st week in January '23 when I got rid of the truck and ordered the Tacoma!

Ordered Jan 30th. Says 4 week lead time. Hopefully that's accurate as I know some have been waiting a bit longer.

    I drive a Miata.

DFW really is iced in and the whole town is shut down at the moment. That's Texas "snow" for you: a solid 0.5 inches of ice with zero top layer for traction. Then the 18 wheelers all get stuck on the slightest inclines and it shuts down the freeways. Not even garbage or mail ran today. So that's a legit delay.

At least the news was interesting - the traffic guy zoomed in on all the upside down cars and flat out called them stupid. He gave zero sympathy for the wrecks today.

Weird. Mine showed up today and the tracking never said anything but "label created" after the initial snafu. :notsure:

Did you all install your shields 'bare' or did you spray them with rustoleum or something like that? Do we need to worry about rust? I know it's stainless steel, but it's not invincible.

Not sure who you are asking. If you put the @ symbol and type their name you can tag them. Like so @Grimble27

Or you can use the "quote" button in the bottom right of a message you wish to reply to.

Either method will give the person a notification.

If you were asking me, I have not installed yet.

Sorry my post wasn't directed at you personally. I said "you all" meaning those in this thread that had installed them already.

I ordered my set on December 10th and just received them last Tuesday, so for me the lead time was nearly 6 weeks. The install went really smooth and I painted mine black with high-temp ceramic 2000 degree paint. I figured the delays were because they were tweaking the design after the initial rev had some rubbing on critical components. It was well worth the wait because it fits so much better than the Cat-Shield that I had previously installed last May. Its a nice product and built well. The hardware included is quality and didn’t require any modification (unlike the drilling and riv-nuts the Cat-Shield required).

My only criticism would be how the guys a CaliRaised LED don’t communicate delays or much at all really. I had to contact them twice and the delayed reply was hurried and minimalistic. I don’t know if that is par for the course with them, but I don’t run my business that way — so it kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I was thinking about ordering the fancy roof rack and light bar from them later this year, but the excessive lead times and lack of communication give me pause.

As far as the ice storm we’re dealing with in Texas, yes — its a mess. I was set to leave for a road trip to Phoenix today (hence why I was so motivated to get these shields installed) from the Austin Metro, but I missed my window of opportunity on Monday and today everything went to hell. I’m glad I didn’t go after looking at the road conditions map and forecast this morning because I-10 shut down just past the I-20 merge from an ice fog related wreck at 7am. Here in town there were countless examples of people getting ahead of the skis and wrecking out. Its just another sad and embarrassing commentary of how ill prepared most of Texas is for this kinda of weather… especially when folks up north just shrug their shoulders and are like, that’s just a winter Tuesday.
