Insulation install went well. Probably could have gone a touch heavier in a couple spots but whatever. Only got the hose hung up once. Have to finish plugging the holes tomorrow. Also had to buy more insulation than originally planned but not much more. Whole thing should be under $600 still. Machine was easy to use and quiet too. Would totally have done my own attic if I'd have know how easy it was. Finding one was a bitch. Home Depot and Lowes' machines were all broke. Everyone else did fiber glass. But finally found one way across town which was definitely the most inconvenient part of this project.

    Overall glad I did it.

Was it foam insulation you sprayed? Been wanting to insulate my garage roof but the trusses aren't spaced evenly. Foam seems like the easiest option.

    No just cellulose.

Thought about spray foaming my garage. Expensive though.

yeah it was pretty easy. Although fiberglass or wool is till better than cellulose. But still overall good.

Pulled the air boxes on the AMG and must've left something on in the car in the process. Left for the weekend and put it back together last night only to find the battery completely flat. No interior lights even. Was able to jump it after a while. Shut off and fired up after I let it idle for 20 minutes. Felt ok about it but threw the ctek on it to top off the charge by morning. Before bed I tried to fire it up and nadda. Dash lights and radio but no crank. Went out this morning and if I'm not mistaken this is the ctek faulting the battery and telling me I have a bad battery.

It was replaced by a Mercedes dealership in Portland in April2022. Question is, will my local Mercedes warranty it...

You can hit the Mode button to restart the charging/reconditioning process and see if the fault comes back. My CTEK did that but after restarting it charged up just fine.
If you’re running an AGM you’ll want to put it on AGM mode before restarting as well (the snowflake light) so it charges at a higher voltage.

Its a normal battery but I misunderstood the manual and thought the snowflake was trickle charging which is wrong. Means I've been using the wrong program on the van. Thanks for the heads-up to make me reread the manual.

I pulled it off to check the voltage with the multimeter but couldn't get a solid voltage reading. I was late for work and freezing so I just threw it on w/o the recon step and I'll see how it is tonight. It's incredibly odd to be so dead in only 48 hours.

Well idk about where you are but was -20 last night and cold as hell the night before. Which obviously pits the ole hurt on the batteries.

    Lol right. Forgot about that.

In other news. I'm convinced now that these kenda's are the best damn all around tire I've ever owned. Did take a small mpg hit compared to the 255s I had before. But traction is so much better. Our roads are nothing but ice and snow right now. 0 issues. These are basicly snow tires.

    Off-road they do great too.

Still look near new too. Though I have no idea how many miles are on them.

    Kenda R/T 33x10.5r17

They are a tall 33 too. And I'd say wider than 10.5 too.

    But damn good.

Ah, So quite a bit larger than stock. Did you need wheels with a different offset to keep them off the UCAs? Any mods or trimming to fit?

Yeah all the standard 33 stuff. I have scs wheels already and had cleared for 255/85r17 that I had earlier.

17" ray 10s with the 4.30 back spacing I think. The non really aggressive ones.

I still took a hit going from the 255s to these though. They are a lot bigger. Not sure about weight.

That's good for to hear. These yokies wear really well but this time of year suck. In 2wd I got stuck leaving this parking spot  I should see if they make Kenda's in my size.

35s? Yeah they do. Though idk if 315s. Do in 35x12.5r17 though pretty sure.

Shit they make 35x10.5r17. Forgot about that. Almost made that jump for the hell of it haha so if you didn't want the fat ones you got two options.

I’ve really been liking the 35x11.5r17 size, they fit way easier than 12.5 wide and don’t rub anything in comparison. 35x10.5 might be a little on the skinny side in my opinion but I bet fits really well.
