I did try out both vacuums. I really couldn't tell if one was better than the other except for the Hercules has the cord attached for when battery dies.

It seemed odd to me that the Hercules is advertised as 2 gallon and the Bauer is 3 gal. They both seemed very close to the same size physically.

Both seemed to have decent suction with low noise.

I did notice Bauer had more different tools.

I was kind of annoyed that there were few tool/battery/charger kits on the shelf.

I wanted a 20v 1/4 hex driver kit, but non were there. I would have grabbed one as well as the matching vacuum.

I was also annoyed that the Bauer and Hercules batteries are not interchangable.

I passed on the whole thing and just went fishing.

I'll keep my eye out for the next batch of coupons.

I think I like the hurcules vacuum better than the Bauer. if I could find out what other brand interchange with these 2 vacuums, I think that could be a deciding factor.

my present system is Porter Cable. having trouble finding an adapter.

They have a bunch of power adaptors out there. I find that harbor freight will put there stuff all over the store I did that one Time looking for a battery not on the shelf, but 10 ft away on a end cap a whole display.

I picked up the Daytona Super Duty jack, and two sets of 6 ton jack stands last night.
This jack is pretty sweet! It's replacing an old Central Hydraulics jack that I got back in 1988 or so...

I broke down and grabbed the Hercules cordless shop vac...of course the 25% of 1 item coupon they sent helped me make up my mind.

At the rental shelf they had a battery and charger for sale. I grabbed the battery. (You would think they would sell them together) I don't care if someone bought and returned them.

I said fuck it on the charger. I'll just make up a pig tail to charge the Hercules battery with my Porter Cable chargers.

A couple wires and I can jump from the battery to the charger.

The charger doesn't care what brand the battery is.

It only cares that it's a 20v Lithium Ion battery.

Need a report please. I've been eyeballing that one for purchase as soon as I've cleared space for it.

It was on clearance here so prob why the 30% off. Maybe a new model coming out?

I put it together and ran a test piece. Seems to be good for light use. The table crank handle is plastic which might be an issue down the road. Everything else seem ok for what it is. Im not going to complain too much for $111 out the door price

    Yep.

It's the 1st place I go when I go in.

There is always something in the clearance/open box section for a good price.

I never get that warranty, so I didn't care.

It was on sale for quite a while, so I’m sure it will be again.

They are good drill presses, but have a lot of runout. I was thinking about looking for some bearings to replace the factory ones. Unless the shaft is what's out.

Yeah I put a cross slide on it to try to mill some things and it just kinda bucks the endmill. It's usable, but not precision. I needed to mill down some aluminum casings on a power cable for my phone so it'd fit with my case. Ugly, but works.
